We are about to sign for BCV. I called for a reservation and asked for a "Epcot view". I was told I probably wouldn't get it because there are only a couple of rooms with the Epcot view. I was under the impression that there were many. Anybody know the story?

I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that the way that the BCV are turned, there would not be many villas that actually faced Epcot. I will stand corrected if someone has better information. I am just recalling my impression when I saw the villas in January.

was that there are many Villas that face Epcot, but that the vast majority of them have trees blocking the view, at least partially. This may be something that will be very hard to say until people have actually stayed in the villas.

My impression was the exact as JonHM. If you look at the map, there is a lot of rooms that will face either world showcase or future world, but there may be a lot of trees in the way.

OK, so I am getting senile!!!;) :p

Just for an FYI .... here is the link to debs map. http://www.wdwig.com/bcvmap.jpg If you look at the top right cornor of this map, you will see the BCV. Epcot is just to the right of this map. My impression is if that canal that runs under BCV kept going straight in the direction it is going, it would run right into "the big ball" at Epcot.

Just back last Friday and, after looking at BCV, I think there will be several facing Epcot and Spaceship Earth. However, we don't know what kind of landscaping there will be and how much of the views they will block.

There are only a few that will have a view of Epcot. I did a construction tour and they showed us the best room. It faced Spaceship Earth and it was on the top floor. Even the lady who walked us through said that there were only a few. You're facing the backstage area of Epcot between Canada and Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Disney is not keen on anyone seeing too much of the backstage areas. Thus we have landscaping. I think the view of the quiet pool would be a better choice, but put in the request for Epcot side top floor. It's worth a shot. One nice thing is that the walk to Epcot is pretty short and if you're driving, you are closer to the parking lot.

When I called to switch from BWV to BCV, I was told that about 20% of the villas had "Epcot" views. I guess one has about the same chance of getting an Epcot view as one does of getting a Boardwalk view. I didn't think to ask what part of Epcot the CM meant because I want a view of Illuminations as opposed to Spaceship Earth. (I'm hoping that the fireworks from Illuminations can be seen above the landscaping.)
