We will be staying at BCV for the first time in Aug/Sept. We'll be traveling with an 18 mo. old and 3 yr. old in our stroller.

What is the best way to get to MK? How long does it take you?

Any help from those who have "been there done that" is very much appreciated. :)

Thanks!!

We stayed at BWV last September and that is just right across the way so I can at least give you an idea...you go by bus if you are using Disney transportation and I would say it takes about 20 mins. We have used Disney transportation everytime that we have stayed on sight and we really have never had a problem. Hope that helps and a great time!

Like the previous poster says it should be around 20 mins. We stayed at BCV last year and the busses were fine getting anywhere. It was me, DW, and DS (4). He LOVED walking around the boardwalk and seeing the live entertainment, you'll also love having a 5 min walk to the back entrance at Epcot, and taking the boat to DHS. One of the really great things about being so close to Epcot is that you can sneak over and watch Illuminations and be back in your room 40 mins later ! We did that a few times when we were there as we'd been at another park that day, went back to the room to relax for a bit then headed over 10 mins before the show started. While we didn't have the best seats in the world, it was great for just sneaking out for a capper to the night.

But for getting to MK best option is taking the bus. Cab ride would probably be around $15-$20 each way.

We also did the character breakfast at Cape May at BC and our son loved it (hated the one at DHS with the Little Einsteins because their heads are frightening large :rotfl: ).

You'll love it, and I haven't even mentioned SAB :yay:

I also agree on the bus. We've stayed at BCV a few times, and always used the buses for MK, though they used to share with BWV, Swan and Dolphin. The last time we were there we stayed at BWV, BC/YC/BCV had their own buses, so that's a huge improvement.

Thanks for all the advice - this is really helpful!!

Did anyone ever get to MK by walking to the Epcot monorail and going from there? If so, how long did it take, and would you recommend it?

Thanks again!! :)

The best way might be to drive a car, but if you're not planning on renting one, the bus is your only option with Disney transportation, and in my opinion, it's not a bad one.

As for walking through Epcot and taking the monorail to MK, it would probably take longer than the bus (even if you had to wait a bit for it), as you'd have to transfer from the Epcot monorail to the MK monorail.
