BCV Sold out? Did I miss the announcement?

I called this morning to be put on a waiting list to extend our BCV reservation by a couple days, and asked the CM at MS whether BCV was now sold out, i.e. fully declared into inventory. She said it was. Perhaps it was a leading question. Has there been any announcement about it being sold out?

I think someone said here that most use years were sold out (except April and December?) Perhaps the CM meant that it was sold out in your use year. I wish I knew for sure. We have an August use year and when I told DH in the spring that I wanted to add on, he told me we should save more money and buy later. Somehow I convinced him we needed to buy then, in part because by waiting I was sure they'd be sold out. I'd love to find out that they are sold out of August because that would make me feel better about pushing him back then.

If I didn't read these boards I wouldn't have had a clue about the status of BCV and wouldn't have known to take the opportunity to add on before they sold out.

There doesn't seem to have been any of the announcements made, such as with Vero Beach, which even here in the UK we got a mailing about it being nearly sold out, as well as it being on the member website. My guide is a very pleasant chap, but I've never had a call from him to let me know of any such situtation either.

If you are interested in adding on, you should call your guide. They can put you on a wait list if they don't have any available.

Just because a resort is fully declared into inventory does not mean it is sold out. It only means that all available villas at that resort are available to be sold.

He told me that BCV was "Essentially sold out". He said that they were taking waitlist for points. He said that this had basically just happened in the last few weeks.

That being said, he allowed me to put in an order for 100pts and took my credit card to hold as deposit if the points came available. He said that for Feb use yr he estimated about 1800 pts left, but didnt know if they were already tied up in closing process. He said that the waitlist would be if someone did not close on contract.

We talked at 3:20 and by 4pm he had called me back and told me the 100pts were mine.

So call and talk to your guide. They may still have something.

As of Thursday the 21st, they only had 1300 December use years points available. The friend we took the tour with wasn't too keen on a December use year, so she's looking at SSR when she convinces her hubby to buy in.

1300 points left for Dec. use year only? Pretty darn close to selling out. Dec. wouldn't be my choice for a use year, but that's just me. Glad we did our add-on.

We added onat BCV with our much maligned december UY (gosh the bashing just doesnt end with the resorts.... now certain UYs are getting it!)

Any who....... my guide said most UYs have a few points around, while others are all dried up!

The only announcemet I saw was in the Member News, where they said BCV was 90 sold out.

Really?!? I ahve a use year of December and this is news to me. It is bad to ahve?!? Why? I thought it actually worked out nice for us as we'll travel ecah year at Christmas and then during spring or summer break.

Well it seems clear that BCV is not yet sold out. I am glad to hear that, as I projected back in Feb that it would sell out no earlier than Sept.

As far as Dec UY goes, I doubt that it's all that bad. In fact I almost got a Dec UY myself as we generally go the first or second week in Dec. But I thought "maybe someday we'll end up going right after Thanksgiving" so I got an Oct UY instead. And sure enough, that's exactly what we're doing this year! We're checking in Nov 29. If we had a Dec UY, it would have been an unwelcome complication to have had to borrow into the 2002 UY for the first three days of our stay. But I'm sure it would still work out fine.

Just to update, I just got off phone with guide and I'm on waitlist for an add on of 50 points for December use year. Looks like it is all gone now, too. Was told it should come through shortly, I'm assuming from any contracts they have tied up that might fall through?

Same here, they had 100 Dec. UY points available for my BCV add-on when I called 2 weeks ago. Then, I waffled a bit, and now that I've finally decided that I want 210 points, they're sold out. My guide says it shouldn't take too long though...

Does anyone know which months are still available? I have June and am trying to convince DH that we should add on. Maybe I'll have to call Celeste - my guide. Annmarie
