BCV Room Preference

I know there's other threads like this and BCV isn't popular for it's views. But I was wondering if anyone has had a bad experience with a room view there? ie: If you have a pool view does the noise penetrate into your room? Do you have more balcony privacy in the woods/epcot views vs. the pool views?

A floor layout plan I saw on the net showed some rooms on the 5th floor as smoking rooms. Is this true or just a misprint?

Thanks!

Just got back from Room 208 a few weeks ago. It overlooked the "quiet pool"... but the quiet pool is not so quiet after SAB closes if you know what I mean! Yes, we could hear noise from the pool in our villa - but only if the guests were noisy - which they usually were. I am thinking of investing in some sort of white noise machine before our next trip!

FYI -I made a request prior to check-in to have a "quiet" room location. I even asked when we checked in if our room was "quiet". The manager assured me yes, it was. Guess he never spent the night in that particular villa.

Good Luck. After all my comments in this post, I must assure you we had a fabulous vacation and absolutely fell in love with BCV! :lovestruc

There is no smoking allowed in any rooms on Resort Property.
Subbing for rest of location commentspopcorn:: 1st stay at BCV will be in Dec....Shawnpirate:

I requested a larger balcony on a higher floor, we got a HUGE balcony on the 5th floor overlooking the quiet pool (studio 560). It was awesome! We loved our balcony and hung out there every night after the kids went to bed. I did not find the noise from the pool to be loud at all, I guess we were just tired or higher up. I loved our room!

I usually request pool view because I perfer seeing people enjoying themselves rather than watching trees grow. If you're there during the warm weather you can expect to see people in the pool and spa all hours of the night, I've seen folks in the spa till 3am. If you close your door to the balcony you won't hear much noise if any.
Most of the balconies are pretty small , just large enough to hold a couple of chairs and a small table, some may be a little longer than others and there are some large balconies at the elbows of the building. If you get one consider yourself lucky.
There are no longer any smoking rooms, if you smoke I would suggest you request ground floor to make it easier to get to the designated outdoor smoking areas, there's one at the quiet pool and one at the walkway to the marketplace.

So far I've only stayed at BCV once, but man, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect location!! Right around the corner from the elevator, woods/EPCOT view, directly above the back side Designated Smoking Area. I sat on my balcony and watched the EPCOT fireworks in full view (couldn't see the globe or water projections, but the aerial fireworks were spectacularly visible).

If you're shopping for a Studio, I highly recommend it.

We just got home from a split stay BCV and then AKV. We also had studio
560 @ BCV!! What a small world! LOL it was amazing. Quiet, and overlooking the quiet pool; balcony was huge!

It is a small world after all! I too loved the room, I was so happy when I saw the balcony!

My least favorite view was from studio 461, yet someone else said they LOVED it so everyone's different. For me, it was too near the road, and I found the road noise really distracting. Fortunately, I usually like my room view. I always ask for "upper floor, quiet area" and often get a woods view in the left hand "jog" about half way down the main hall. I've tried several times to ask for "woods view", but MS always tells me that there's no such view. I can see the top of the Eifel Tower in France and often there's a hawk in the trees in the morning, which I enjoy. I've never had the pool view, but I've heard others complain that it can be loud.
