We lucked out and cleared our wait list at BCV for our next trip!

This will our first time staying at BCV and our first time flying into Orlando.

We are thinking about using ME to get from the airport instead of renting a car at the airport. We will be flying Southwest. Do they participate in the bag checking feature of ME?

Will the ME take us directly to the check in for BCV or will we have to make other stops? Is the check in at BCV or at another location like at BLT? How long do you have to wait at the airport for the ME bus to go to the resort?

We plan on renting a car at the Dolphin to use for a day or two. How far is the walk to the Dolphin from BCV?

Any other suggestions regarding using ME vs renting a car at the airport?

ME usually does multi stops to fill the bus but it will take you directly to BCV.

Yes, SW does participate with ME - which is new - your boarding passes will be delivered to your door after the 24H window.

Dolphin is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from BCV depending on how fast you walk :rotfl2:

We love BCV - never rent a car - use food delivery service rather than rent the car because it's more relaxing for us and the $$ is even.

We waited long so couldn't get into BCV for F&W so we did a SW pkg at Dolphin :yay:

It will take you directly to the front entrance of the Beach Club Resort, not the villas. You check in at the BC front desk, then walk over to the villas if your room is ready. If you want to go straight to Stormalong Bay to spend the day there, pack your bathing suits, sunscreen etc in your carry ons and there is a health club at the BC that you can change, or a nearby bathroom right outside the pool complex. Have a great time!

SW definitely participates in luggage arrival to your resort. Takes a couple of hours to get luggage but really worth not having to lug your suitcases around. Just make sure that you use the yellow tags.

BCV does have RAC. It's over to the left of the main entrance and there until I think 11:00 a.m. RAC is different that ME in that they tag your luggage at send it back to the airport so you don't have to hassle with that. ME will pick you up 3 hours before your departure time and you would go straight to security. They will take your bags and also print your boarding pass. We have also had our boarding passes slipped under the door early morning of the day of checkout.

You will make other stops. We have stopped at Carribean, POP, AoA YC. Depends on the route you may stop at BWV first before YC/BC. Stops are not long at all.

The walk to the Dolphin is about 10 minutes. Out the back entrance of BC, make a right and just walk the path straight over to the Dolpin.

99% of the time we stay at BCV and love it! I would definitely use ME. Besides - it's FREE!! From the time you step off the plane until you check into your resort has very rarely been more than 90 minutes.

Done ME a couple of times if your planning on staying on property you don't need to rent a car. Love BCV but take swim wear in carry on so if room isn't ready you can swim. You will have fun just being in Disney enjoy ME.

They tried this a couple of years ago and failed. Maybe they have the bugs worked out since doing the same thing at BLT.

Is it a "front desk", or just a check in kiosk? Not that it matters I guess, just curious. Is it where the DVC desk was in the foyer?

Last time it was inside the entrance to the villa building on the left side.

It took us 45 minutes to check in there because the CM's didn't know what they were doing and they had to keep calling over to the BC back room. At one point they asked the people waiting to check in to move to the TV room across from the desk because we were making the CM's nervous.

They passed out apples to everyone waiting. :confused3
