We are a party of 8 (3 in one family and 5 in another) going to WDW in July. We currently have a 2 bdrm. booked at BCV but are wondering if a 3 bdrm. at OKW would be better. We think the pool at BCV would be wonderful for the kids and a huge plus along with the proximity to restaurants/activities/etc, but the unit size is our concern. We don't like to use the pull out sofa so there'll be 2 adults and an 11 year old nephew in the master bed and 2 adults in one of the queens and a 5 and 7 DDs in the other queen in the 2nd bedroom with an air mattress for a 2 yo DS on the floor in the 2nd bedroom. Any suggestions on making this better or roomier? We are thinking the bedrooms can work but the living space could be crowded with 8 people in it at one time. Any thoughts?

A 2Br at OKW would give you more living space. If you think the bedroom situation is okay then I would go with a 2 br at OKW. A GV is always a treat so if you have the points I'd go for it but I do think a 2 BR at OKW is a better option than a 2BR at BCV for living/breathing space.

We haven't yet used the villas, but we are a family of 6 and veterans of many family trips. We have found that kids (pre-teen) will be satisfied sleeping just about anywhere. Location is far more important to us than the kids sleeping accomodations.

It sounds like your decision boils to this: sleeping privacy for the adults vs. letting the kids enjoy SAB and the walking distance to Epcot, MGM and Boardwalk. You must decide which priority is more important to your group. We'd pick the 2-bdrm at BCV.
