BCV or BWV which would you choose?

We are taking friends for their first trip in over 10 years to the World (August 2015).

They would like to stay at one of the Epcot resorts - we are 4 adults and 3 children ages 11 - 19.

We have decided to let them choose the resort but they are having trouble making a final decision.

Where would you choose to stay and why? Maybe if they read some other opinions it would help them.

If they'd like a mini-waterpark (Stormalong Bay), they should do BCV.

Personally, I prefer BWV--more equal walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, free entertainment at night on the Boardwalk, community hall at BWV, and I just love the feel of walking on the Boardwalk.

But...if anyone has a clown phobia, they should skip BWV as the pool has the giant clown face.

Do you have a home resort at both? If not, the best chance to get in would be at BWV pool/garden view. So that may be your most likely resort. So before I would say anything to your guests I would see what is available first.

Yup.

Earlier this week I secured a 9 consecutive night BCV studio for mid-August. If had tried to do that today, 3 of 9 nights are unavailable on points.
