BCV or BWV for 2 Nights, Non Park Days?

Next Summer we will be taking a DCL cruise and will get in a few days before the departure date. We figured this might a good chance to stay at one of the three WDW resorts we haven't yet (but we're planning on doing VGF after the cruise, so that leaves two).

The choices are, as in the thread title, BCV or BWV. Right now there is availability on our nights at both resorts, and most views. My 7 month window opens next week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If I have a choice, what should I consider in choosing between the two? We would really only have full day at the resort, which w/b a non park day. So we figured some time at the pool, some general hanging/walking around, maybe some mini golf at Fantasia (does that even still exist?) if it's accessible. I know the last time we went there, a decade or so ago, we drove, so I'm not sure how else one would get there.

So, any suggestions as to the features/benefits of one over the other?

If BWV, are the extra points for a non standard view worth it for just the two nights?

Beach club for the pool if you are going to be doing a resort day and you expect it to be reasonably warm.

BCV will give you a better pool, but BWV will probably be more to your liking since you will not be going to a park. The ambiance around the resort at night is nice and you will be closer to walk to Fantasia Gardens. To get there, just walk across the bridge to the Swan, continue around to the pool and then take the path on the left to Fantasia Gardens. Either resort will offer you both, but BWV just puts you closer.

Like the posts above said If you plan on using the pool a lot I would consider BCV. I think their is more to do at BWV Tho. I enjoy an evening at the boardwalk and walk back to BCV. Let us know what you end up with. Enjoy your stay and your cruise

kids/no kids?
ages of kids?
pool at home (swimmers or "splashers")?
does view from room matter?
do you care about community hall and/or nighttime activities nearby?
