Ok we booked our 11 mos home resort today.. 2bedrom at Kidani! At 7mos out we are debating on BCV which we LOVE and have stayed at.. or try BLT.. would love the convenience of walking to Magic Kingdom.. and Monorail to Epcot from TTC woulnt be bad either.. cant decide!!? Anyone stay at both? IF so.. thoughts please!!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

stayed at BLT and thought it was great. walking to the MK was great and easy to get to epcot. if you stay here you need to check out the totw lounge. great place to relax and watch the fireworks from. they even pipe in the music that they are playing for the fireworks

We have stayed at both and love both....It is so tough to pick one....Love BLT proximity to MK and Top of the world lounge rules. BCV is nice and close to Boardwalk area and we love walking to Epcot & boating to Hollywood studios...but the deal breaker is Beaches & Cream! Then again we love taking the monorail to all the resorts from BLT to shop & eat....I dunno...stay at both! Sorry I was no help:confused3

Funny, we have stayed at BCV 2x and never ate at Beaches and Creams.. to me, not worth the dining plan points.. am I wrong?:confused3

Definitely not worth dining credits---assuming it counts as table service. This one is just a pay out of pocket if you ask me.

I was thinking of their ice cream creations when I wrote that...plus we have TIW card and pay out of pocket...and it was meant to be silly;)

We stayed at both this summer and loved them. We are booking our trip for next summer tomorrow and will start out with all 6 nights at BLT.

At 7 months, we may decide to do BCV again for two nights. It was great being able to walk and do DHS and Epcot for the first few days and then we concentrated on MK while we were at BLT.

We have a rental car and typically drive the parks anyway. We realized that by staying at both, we would really only need a car to visit AK and DTD. Next summer, if we go with the split stay, after we check out of BCV, we will rent a car from the Dolphin site on the day we move, head to DTD for lunch and shopping, and then head over to BLT. We will keep the car for a few days to do AK and then return it back to the Dolphin and hit Epcot that day and monorail back to BLT.

Good luck!

I own at Bay Lake, looking forward to our first stay in 5 days!!!

We are then staying at Beach Club at the end of the trip for a night.

If you are into "themeing" then pick BCV, if you are into "modern" then pick Bay Lake.

Also, BCV has Storm Along Bay... In August/September that will come in handy!

What about a split stay:cool1: two vacations in one. That is exactly what I am doing in 2 weeks..4 days at my beloved Beach Club and 3 nights at BLT which I haven't been to yet , but I am looking forward to :lovestruc

I am going with my 4 sisters, first adult only trip for me. What I did was on the first 4 nights at BCV I have all my dinner res. in that area and we will go to Epcot for the convenience of walking. Than the day we switch to BLT we will spend the day in Magic Kingdom. We won't have to wait around for our room and it will be ready when we get back from the park. When in the BLT area we made all our dining reser. along the monorail resorts. I think this is a great way ro get to try all the resorts. We do online check in so it is ready when we get there.

I love split stays  but I think 2 resorts is the most I would ever switch between. and I would want to at least be 3 or 4 days at each. Good luck with your choice. Go for them both!!:cloud9:

ps/ Beaches and Cremes rocks, but I wouldn't use my meal plan there. Just go for ice cream.

Good idea about the split stay but we are already splitting it at Port Orleans.. OTHERWISE I would definatly look into it. We need to buy more POINTS!!! We only have 160 so we are banking.. borrowing ect. In 2012 we are adding on! :thumbsup2

I could let you know in two weeks we are doing a split stay between BCV and BLT! I might be bias because BLT is our home resort ;)

It takes about 10 minutes to get to the front gate of MK from BLT at a leisure walking pace. There are no buses to board, no trains to get on and essentially no crowds to fight. The best part is if you just want to go back for fireworks or the parade you can walk over, and when you are done you don't have to fight the crowds jamming onto the train or buses. Monorail to other resorts or buses are seemed ok from BLT. The only thing we noticed was a longer wait from HS and we were either last to be dropped off or first depending on which park we were at. It was great not having to drive anywhere. I have never stayed @ BCV but would love to stay there and we're thinking about that or BWV next summer. It really all depends on which park you want to spend more time @ MK or Epcot?

IM STILL DEBATING THIS!! Ive searched threads , looked at all the pics and I still dont know what to do...............:confused3:confused3:confused3 Maybe time to put the two resorts in a hat and pick.

We own at both and stay at both over two separate trips. One trip we will dine mostly in the MK resort area and one trip we dine in mostly the Epcot resort area.

One thing we definatley noticed was the BLT was GREAT for the hot months. There are 8-10 table service dining locations you can go to without even leaving the Air Conditioning. Except when walking over the bridge. So for our hottest trips, we do BLT. But for our other trip, we want it to be pretty warm too so we can enjoy SAB at night.

I would say do both, pick one for this trip and do the other for the other trip. If you have small children, I would do BLT 1st. SAB seems to be better suited for children 5, 6, 7 and up to 99!

I just had to make this decision yesterday. We are owners at BLT and I'd never been to BCV and wanted to try it out. My determining factor after doing research online was a) I didn't really like the views that were offered at BCV and the very limited dining options. I didn't want to have to go all the way to another resort or park just to eat something different. So that's why I chose to go ahead and go with the BLT reservation. However, I just made the reservation and the 1st night of our BLT ressie was not available. So, I may just stay at BCV that one night just so I get to experience it once :).

Good luck deciding..
