I'm negotiating a contract now and if it's successful, it won't close until fall. It is not a BCV contract, so I need to wait until the 7 month mark anyway. What are the chances of getting a Sun-Fri in the beginning of May? It's the flower show in epcot season, so I don't know it it gets full. It's also still in-school season. Thanks.

Working in your favor is that May is a relatively quiet time for DVC, working against you is that many DVC members who do visit want to stay at BCV/BWV for the flower/garden show.

After just trying to help somebody make reservations with points at BCV from now til the end of the year, and not being able to find 5 consecutive nights basically until January, I would reiterate that BCV is clearly the single hardest resort to get into if you don't own there (on property). It's a simple numbers game, there just are not that many villas.
You will have to get online at 8 am at the 7 month mark, and I would have a backup. I would say it's possible, but just be aware that BCV availability seems very fleeting. If you are trying to get into the Epcot area for the garden show, you should at least find something at BWV, which is almost just as close.

Good luck. There simply is no way to know. 1BR's are the last to go, so not sure what kind of room you want but that is the most likely. Studios will most likely be gone.

Looking for a 1br, so thanks. I thought there'd be fewer of them; good to know. We've stayed at BWV many, many times (as renters of villas) and never had an issue getting in even with 3 or 4 months notice. I don't mind staying there again but I wanted my 4-yr old to have the pirate lagoon at BCV some time.

I'll probably book the entire stay at POFQ then alter it if I can get into the villas on points.

BWV will book up during flower/garden, but especially Food and Wine. Other than that, and outside of really busy weeks like Easter/Thansgiving/Christmas, you can usually find something. BCV is quite different. There are 205 BCV rooms, and 385 BWV rooms.

I certainly don't mean to imply that you won't get what you want, just trying to be realistic. I think if you try right when the window opens, you have a good chance.

The reason the 1BR's are last to book is b/c they sleep the same number of people as the studios but are twice the points. We prefer them anyway, we have two children and find the studios to be too cramped. We like being able to spread out and like having the full kitchen.

Good luck.

I asked the same thing a couple of weeks ago and was told I had a pretty good chance. We shall see though. I'm booking our home resort (BLT) at 11 months and if I can't get BCV at 7 months, I'll just stick with BLT.

We've rented (both 1BR and 2BR) several times in early to mid May and have always gotten a room as long as we booked exactly at the seven month mark. A few years ago we booked a last minute trip and couldn't get in.

Of course, there are no guarantees, but we own at VWL and booked a 2 BR at BCV during the 3rd week of May 2011 and got it no problem. We did call first thing in the morning the first day of the seven-month mark.

Hopefully, you'll have the same luck! :thumbsup2

We got our waitlist for May 15 -20 one bedroom at BCV filled in Feb. So there is always hope. :goodvibes

My advice would be to call exactly the 7 mo. mark. Several years ago we got a 2br at the BCVs at the 7 mo. mark with no problem. You just never know so call early. Good luck!!!
