I just read on another board that the community hall in Beach Club no longer exists? Is that true? I have not been to BCV in several years, but I thought the community halls were a standard at all deluxe resorts.

I'm not sure about Beach Club, but Wilderness Lodge does not have a community hall. I didn't think that BCV had one either, but I am not an expert on that resort having stayed there only once. I thought the only Community Halls were at AKV-Kidani, BWV, SSR, OKW and BLT.

Hmmm yes....now that I think on it VWL didn't have one. BCV definitely did as I lounged in the quiet pool looking at it.

We own BCV as one of our resorts and we didn't know that it had a community hall. DVD check out was in the store.

I've spent over 60 nights at BCV since 2007 and have never seen a community hall there.
Where is/was it??

BCV did not have a community hall. Sure you're not thinking of BWV? The Community hall is right be the quiet pool there.

I recall there was a room with sofas and pool tables off the lobby of BCV last Christmas when I was there. I didn't bother to go in and see if there was anything else there. IIRC, there was also a sitting room facing the DVC pool.

I must be crazy... maybe I'm thinking BWV but I felt for sure there was a community room by the BCV quiet pool. I kinda remember it because you could pull your lounge chairs close to it to get shade.

As you enter the BCV building, The Drawing Room is on the right. It has entrance doors and features a few sitting areas.

On the left, there's a breezeway area that leads out to the pool. It has high ceilings and lots of built-in nooks and crannies.

To my knowledge, BCV never had a community hall. Community halls usually feature structured activities, video game systems, computers, and some tabletop games. I think the newest DVC resort to have a community hall is Kidani Village.

I must be crazy....

Hmmmm - don't know if you're crazy, but the only thing at the BCV pool is a little building with restrooms. A time or two I think they've had a ping pong table out there but that's it.

Yup....you are absolutely right. I never use the community halls so I just assumed that structure was one as well.

The newest DVC resort with community hall is Bay Lake Tower. But rumor has it that there is a possibility that they will be adding one at Wilderness Lodge to support the new CCV resort sales.

To my knowledge there has never been a community hall at Beach Club. When my daughter was younger we would take the boat over to Boardwalk because she liked to use their community hall. That is what the front desk told me to do because they do not have one.
