We are planning a trip with DD, DSIL, DGS (4yrs at the time) and DGD (18 months at the time) for July at BCV (DD's favorite)Hope we get it when I call in early Dec. We went to the campfire and sing along at FW in May and DGS loved it. I know I read about a campfire and movie at BCV. Anyone have info. TIA

I dont have any info, but when we stayed at BCV's in 2006, we walked around the lake and they just had chairs setup on the beach and were showing a movie. We sat down for a little and watched, I dont remember the campfire, but I am sure they had one going (my memory must be leaving me:confused3)

We always visit the Boardwalk at least once on our trips - it is a must do. Our DD6 loves that magicians and shows, we can see the fireworks from EPCOT, and grab some ice cream on either the boardwalk, or head over to Beaches and Cream. It is an absolute must do on every vacation.

We went to BCV In June, and went to the beach two evenings. They do have a movie each night. It's a pretty cool inflatable movie screen with chairs set up to watch the movie. The campfire is for roasting marshmallows/making smores. They didn't have stuff for smores the week we were there (they charge a few bucks for the kit, maybe $5?), so they gave ziploc baggies full of marshmallows for free and a stick to cook em on. It's not like a singalong organized campfire thing, more of a laid back roastin marshmallow thing. But we enjoyed it! You can also see some of the Illuminations fireworks from right there on the beach, and the view of the boardwalk and the boats is nice. Even if you stop by for a little while, it's nice. It's a great relaxing way to end an evening.

We've been back just over a week and stayed at BCV's

They were just setting up for the movie. The campfire is not far from where the watch the movie's, next to the ship, on the beach.
I took this photo one night.

I just left BCV yesterday, and fortunately they're still doing the movies (I love them). Schedule changes every month, and of course, I can't find mine, but I remember that Monday was Monsters, Inc. and I thin Saturday was Haunted Mansion. One night was the new Alice in Wonderland. If it rains, so you don't go wandering around like I did, the movie will be in the Solarium. And if there's a private party on the BC beach, go over to the YC side and you'll find it (otherwise, fall back on the Solarium again). Oh-no campfire in the Solarium:)

You probably could. It's pretty laid back, you would still probably need to ask the CM's for a stick to roast them with tho, and if you only wanted to do marshmallows and not smores, they would probably just give them to you for free.

Thanks for your replies. DGS told his mom, Mimi said we are going to a place with a pool and a beach! He asked me if we were going to the Boardwalk?(stayed there in May). 3 years old and already so Disney savvy!!!!

Hmmm. Just noticed this says campfire singalong. We didn't see (hear) the singalong the nights we were there. :confused3:) So, disregard that in my post where I said there wasn't a singalong, cuzz I guess they do sometimes!
