I have been on the restaurant boards but figured DVC members would know better.

DH wants one breakfast out for our Christmas trip. We want to see the decorations @ BWV and BCV. We will be staying @ SSR. I don't know of any good BWV breakfast places. I have read from the boards about Cape May and Beaches and Cream.

Which would be the best breakfast option Cape May or Beaches and Cream? It doesn't have to be character breakfast even though we have a 7 yr. old DD. We are thinking of a late breakfast around 10:00 am which restaurant would be easier to get a table at? Best food and service is very important.

I don't think you have a choice, since Beaches and Cream isn't open for breakfast. I think it opens around 11:00 or so. So you'll have to go to Cape May. Let me know how you like it-I often stay at BCV and have been meaning to get there for breakfast sometime.

Cape May Cafe has a good breakfast buffet that also happens to be a character meal. Minnie out front, Chip and Dale, and Goofy walk around the restaurant in beach attire.

We eat there every time we go down. The food is great--wide variety, a lot of fruit and hot entrees. We tend to eat a little later too, and there is usually good character interaction. My 5 year old loves it there.

Spoodles at Boardwalk has breakfast and Yacht Club Galley has breakfast as well.

Cape May definitely has a character breakfast. If you are there around the holidays, make sure you call ahead and arrange for priority seating.

Although we haven't tried it yet ourselves. we've also read some good reviews of the breakfast at Fresh at the nearby Dolphin.

Do the Cape May breakfast. You'll have a nice meal and get some great pics of DD with Minnie!

Go to the Boardwalk Bakery and sit at a table by the water and watch the day come alive.

We made the mistake of doing this once and now we can never convince ourselves to do anything else.

I give my vote to Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club.
Good food and also good interaction with the characters.
Your Daughter will love the attention.

Enjoy

We stayed at the Dolphin in late August and came across the Fresh Market for breakfast by chance. It was delicious. It is a breakfast buffet, but the service was very attentive with beverages. You have to stand in line while they freshly prepare custom ordered egg and pancake/french toast dishes, but they were as efficient as possible.

If you don't want to wait, there are other hot items (scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, oatmeal, grits, and potatoes) for self-service along with an impressive display of pastries, cold cereals and fruits. My very discriminating friend thought it was one of the best breakfasts sh's ever had. Plus you are a quck walk to either YC/BC or BW.

Our party was three adults and one child. The total check including tax and gratuity was $64.

Hope this helps!

I believe that this was one of the 11 new perks available as of 4/1/04. I recall it being for breakfast only and for 10% off also.

Cape May has a character breakfast buffet which is good and Spoodles is one of our favorites for a great breakfast.

Loved the breakfast at Cape May Cafe. Ate there twice last Dec and loved it. The characters are nice (Chip,Dale,Minnie,Goofy all in old-fashioned bathing suits) but the best thing was the service and the food! Plus, you can't beat the location if staying in the BCV. I think the Yacht club galley is also a good choice (food quality and location-wise). Never tried Spoodles for breakfast, so I can't comment on that one but the DVC discount sounds nice! Have fun!

Our family likes Cape May Cafe, so another vote for that one here.

We ate at Spoodles once in the am and didn't like it. The service wasn't good at all.

We plan to try Fresh in Dec. Have heard it's good.
