Does anyone know how difficult it would be to book a 1 bed in August at the 7 mnth window at BCV?! Would love to try it for the first time, but is it unrealistic?

I don't think it is unrealistic and well worth a try. August is not one of the more difficult times to book at 7 months and 1 bedrooms book more slowly than studios or 2 bedrooms. So go for it and good luck!

We booked a studio at BCV at 7 month window for the last week in August. It was only one of two studios left at the time, but I do believe that the one bedrooms are easier to get. However, call day by day as soon as it hits the 7 month window just in case. Good luck! Maybe we will see you there!

We have been able to book BCV 1 bd for last week in June at 7 months with no problem...so it sounds very feasible.

I agree, and I was just able to move a few nights to a BCV studio in September. I think a 1 bedroom would be easiest to do.

I think you'll be fine. We've been waitlisted before, but always gotten in. You can always do a split stay if you have too.

Definitely call and check it out. I was originally in two studios at SSR in August. Called at my 7 month window ... thinking it would never happen ... and was able to change both studios over to BCV. :thumbsup2

We will be at Yacht Club before that at a scrapping event and I really wanted to just walk next door for our "park adventure" portion of the trip. Can't wait for this! :cloud9:

Good luck! pixiedust:

I got a 2 bedroom at BCV the first week of August last year calling at 6 months so I would think you had a decent chance. Good luck!

I was able to book a studio in BCV in about 6 months out for our 4/4/08 reservation. Seems like you have a good chance of getting it. Good luck :)

I was able to get a two bedroom at the 7 month mark for BCV. I wanted the one with 2 queens but that was not available so I am waitlisted for 2Q in 2nd bedroom, but either way we are in! My family would not split between so I had to wait till 7 month mark of our check out date, but we still got the whole week:cool1: I say go for it!

Thank you so much for all your positive replies! I'm so excited now as I'd thought it would be impossible to get at the 7 mnth mark! Finger crossed!!!!

Do the villas at the BC have full balconies........I seem to remember reading about standing room only balconies somewhere!?! Are there any bad views?

I don't believe there are standing room balconies only but someone can correct me. There are different size balconies, though. Last August, we had a dedicated 2 bedroom and the balcony was the length of the whole unit. It was huge! I think for non-dedicated units, there is a separate balcony for each bedroom/studio. As far as views, our concern was being closest to the BC lobby area due to husband's knee issues. That said, if this August is anything like last year's August heat wave, you probably won't be out on the balcony for long periods of time anyway. We tried enjoying cocktails on the balcony after the sun went down and it was still sooooo hot. (I'm sure the alcohol didn't help either!) The view of our unit was partially of the service road and the pool was to our right. Very quiet and peaceful. No matter what view you get, you will love the BCV. It is a great resort! Good luck getting your reservation!
