Somebody help me decide! We have a great deal available renting points from my sister in law and can't decide between the above resorts. I've stayed at VWL and BWV before so I'd like to try something else.

AKV looks the best w/ theming but it is kind of far from everything and I'll have a baby and two older children me, not counting the husband.

BCV may be REALLY crowded in Oct from what I understand about the FOod and Wine Festival in Epcot.

SSR is nicely located and pretty but HUGE and I'm not sure how much walking we'll be doing...or how many stops the bus will make.

OKW has a great location and is quite pretty but the pool looks kind of bland and it has two beds in the studio instead of a sofa bed...which might be a negative.

We stayed at OKW last week and we absolutely loved it! We were in building 14, a studio. We had great bus service all week. We loved the Jimmy Buffet music playing at the pool and the Margarita's at the Gurguling Suitcase hit the spot...We will visit this resort again....

What is your SIL's home resort? It will be difficult getting into BCV or AKV, without it being your SIL's home resort, especially BCV during Food and Wine. I personally like SSR. It is large, but the theming is GREAT. The bus does make 5 internal stops before heading off to a park, but it really isn't that bad. The resort isn't all that big, as if you're staying in one section, you really don't need to go to another (ie staying in carosuel and going over to congress park), the main check-in area isn't more than a 10 minute walk from any section.

We have stayed at SSR, OKW and BCV. (Hopefully AKV is next.) We loved, loved, loved BCV. The pool, location, and the atmosphere were fantastic. We also really liked OKW. The "feel" is completely different from BCV. It's almost like you get two vacations at OKW. There is the excitement and rush of WDW and then the relaxation and peacefulness of OKW. The kitchen, living room, and dining area are really big as well (compared to other DVC properties).
I didn't enjoy SSR as much. When we went, we had to take the bus to get to the main pool or for food or drink. It was really inconvenient. The pool is great and because it is new everything is in good condition.

Thanks for all your tips.

My SIL 's home resort is VWL but she said she has booked three times for friends at AKV and hasnt had a problem getting availability. I think we've decided on AKV because when I asked my son which one he'd prefer, he was really in favor of seeing the animals out of his window. Even w/ a Savannah view, we will be spending 120.00 a night and we are thrilled w/ that! Plus, the pool is really great (not as great BCV but on par w/ VWL) and I like that it's whimsical and 'Disney' but also cozy.

loved the rooms at AKV -they are definitely the best.

flat screen TV and DVD.

would buy here but still expecting CRV.
