BCV/AKV Split Stay Questions

I am renting DCV points for the first time and have some questions.

1. Check-in (just like normal)?
2. How do you move from one resort to the other? Do you have to move your own stuff, or do you take it down to concierge and they do it for you?
3. How does split stay affect Magical Express?
4. How late can you add the dining plan?

I just want to make sure this trip goes smoothly. We are very excited to be staying at Villas for the first time, but nervous about the differences in approach to the vacation.

Yes, check in is just like normal. Same as a regular resort.

When you are ready to switch resorts just call bell services, they will come get your bags and transfer them to the next resort. You have to get to the resort on your own. We normally just take a cab with our own bags if we don't have a rental car.

When you book ME you just tell them the drop off resort is BCV, and the pick up resort on check out day is AKV. Very simple, nothing "special" has to be done.

I'm not sure about the DDP because we never use it. But we are DVC'ers and I believe you have to book it 5 days before your trip and pay it in full before you get there. Perhaps someone else will come along and give you a better answer, sorry! You could head to the FAQ sheet of the DDP on the restaurants board. The answer should be there.
