BCV Add On

I have just added on 90 points at BCV, making our total now 300

yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

we have not even been on a DVC holiday yet and already adding on.

I was also told that there are 4900 April use year points left at BCV, and that BCV would rise to $89/point from 3rd August.

This price increase doesn't agree with other posters, does anyone else have any info on this

Congrats! We just added 100 points at BCV too. The price does seem to be what people have been saying in the SSR threads. A number of members have been told by their guides that SSR presales will start the first week of August and that the price will be $89 a point. But it has also been rumored that the end date for points bought at SSR will be 2054 instead of 2042. I'm not too concerned because I would be 90 by then and my girls will be getting close to 70. Another post does state that BCV will still sell at $84 a point till it sells out.

Congratulations on your add-on! We did the same thing...added on before we even took our first trip. Then when we did, we added-on again. (We are done now, for a while anyway). The price is awfully high on the SSR points. I will be surprised if they get the add-on response that BCV did. Sandie

Congratulations! We also added-on before our first trip home - and that was to OKW. Our first trip to BCV is this fall.

Just returned last Sun from Disney and putting down our deposit for BCV. Waiting on our documents this wk but have been in touch w/our guide to ask about addtl. pts. Her response email said that she got the extra 50 pts but just under the wire (we will have Feb use year).

Once again, disboards rules!! I would not have thot to ask her for those extra 50 pts if I hadn't read here 1st that folks are adding on before early August!!

Just wondering if we should go for an addtl 50 pts to start out with 250 for first-timers?!

I thought Feb use year had almost 19,00 pts left?

Was she telling you that they were almost gone or that she was able to add the additional 50 before your paperwork was processed?

I will definitely ask her when we speak by phone tomorrow. Perhaps she did mean that she caught our paperwork just "under the wire"! That would be so, so good since DH really wanted us to start out with 250 pts from the very beginning.

Thanks for asking a great question - I think it has set my feet on a better path to all this DCV knowledge which really is pretty confusing for us newbies.

BTW, how did you know that the Feb use year has 19,000 (??) pts left? Or was that 1900 pts?

I believe that TerryS from these boards said her guide-who I think is also my guide-told her last week that there were 19,000 pts left-yes, 19,000. TerryS is a wealth of information when it comes to the BCV.

I'm sure she probably meant she caught your paperwork before they would have had to do a "rewrite".

I think you'll be glad that you added on the pts.

We recently added on 175 at VWL and called back to add even more and the pts were all gone.

We are now on a waitlist for more VWL and Vero pts and may add on somewhere else in the near future.

At least you know there are more pts to be had if you decide you want even more than 250.

If your paperwork is being processed for 250 and you want to add more all you would have to do is call your guide and she could do an add-on if the pts are available.

floridafam... Thank you! I just love BCV very much so I make a point of learning as much about it as possible. As far as the 19,000 points, yes that was me. BUT, when I asked my guide how long he thought those 19,000 points might last, he did tell me he thought they would be gone by the end of the month if not sooner. I asked him if I got back with him by the end of last week if he thought the points might be there and he said, he wouldn't even gaurantee it. Apparantly, February is the current default use month.
