I came to ask the experts a quick question!

My DH and I are very interested in renting points for the BCV in October, 2004 (the 24th-29th). Right now, all the people who are available to rent points to us don't have the BCV as their home resort and we'd have to wait for the 7 month window. Here's the question (finally!) :

How difficult is it to get a 2 bedroom villa at the BCV for October 24-29? I'm not sure how long to wait to see if someone has points available for the BCV or just book the BWV right now.

Make sense?

Thanks a bunch for your help!!

The 7 month window is always possible but I personally won't risk it. If you are comfortable with BWV (a great resort) why don't you see if any of the owners are willing to book for you now, so you are guarenteed somewhere to stay and than try changing for you at 7 month mark.

You could also waitlist at 7 months if not available, I would recommend do that for the whole stay not day by day. There are great reports of the waitlist success.

Either way, I am sure you will have a terrific time

Happy travels

I just completed my 5 night reservation for a 2 bedroom at BCV at the 7 month window this morning. I felt lucky to get that for July.

Your trip in October will be during the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, so things certainly could be different at that time.

The question I had is that MS told me that the second bedroom of my 2 bedroom reservation would have 2 queen beds. Do all of the 2nd bedrooms have that instead of a bed and sleeper sofa, or does that tell me that I will be getting a dedicated 2 bedroom vs a lock-off?

I had thought that with the "Room Ready" policy that I would have to wait to see what they had available at the time I got there to check-in, but she told me this before I even asked for it.

I did not ask for any particular view and she did not state one.

Thanks,

I got a 2br at BCV at 5 months. It was not for the dates you want but not that far off, Nov 10th. In my opinion if you are going during a slower part of the year which halloween time is,you shouldnt have a problem at 7 months.

Thanks,

I dont remember what the 2nd br had in it because I was in the master br. Sorry I am no help there.

On the other things. All I asked for when I made my ressie was a non-smoking 2br. I wasnt told view or beds or anything else. But when I did get my confirmation letter it did say dedicated 2br,which it did end up being, which I thought was odd they would state that with the "room ready" policy. What if there was not a dedicated 2br when I checked in. It could be a cause for compliants by some people. Anyways when I checked in I politely asked if it was possible to get an Epcot view on the 5th floor telling her it was no problem if it couldnt happen(Being in the hospitaility industry I am not the pushy, not taking no for an answer type of person I hate dealing with). But she said not a problem and gave me my keys and the number to call to see if its ready since I did check in early to try and get the view and such. I ended up with a really nice room on the 5th floor with a great view of Spaceship Earth and The Land. We could even see some of the fireworks of Illuminations. So if you do have any type of request I would try to get there as early as you can(I went around 10 am) to check in to try and get what you want. it worked for me. You can check your baggage with the bellman, take a small bag with you with your swimming trunks and go hang out at Stormalong Bay intil your room is ready. Thats what I did. The only negative in both my stays was the room was not ready until 4pm. I find it odd that when you call at 3:45 the rooms not ready but at 3:55 it is ready. That happened both stays and the same thing happened to others around me. But something small like that doesnt get me down when I am in the Happiest Place on Earth
OK sorry I rambled there and have fun on your stay at BCV. Dont forget to look for the alligator

We got a 2 bedroom at BCV for the weekend after Thanksgiving which is ended up being booked solid and one of the busiest times of the year and it was booked well after the 7 month mark. We do own at BCV but didn't buy into until May or June.

And we had the week before and weekend after our cruise and had a 2 bedroom with the sofa sleeper and queen before and the 2 queeen after and both were dedicated.

We had a 2BR at BCV this year Oct. 30-Nov. 4. Our home resort is VWL, so I made the ressies right at the 7 month mark. Had no problem at all, even with it being Food and Wine and Halloween. Our 2BR had the bed and sofa in the second bedroom and was dedicated.

Thanks so much for all of your very quick replies!!

You've give me the courage to go ahead and book the BWV with hopes of switching over to the BCV at the 7 month mark. I know I can't go wrong with way, but DH and DD have their hearts set on swiming in Storm-a-long Bay again.

Thanks again!

It seems to me that 2br suites are perhaps the easiest accommodations to get, even at the 7 month window. We had no trouble booking a 2br at BCV for the July 4th weekend at 7 months.

It would be interesting to get a breakdown of which rooms tend to go first. If I were to put forth a guess, I would imagine that the grand villas are first to go (as they are the most limited) followed by standard view rooms. I know that studios also seem hard to come by if you wait too long.

We are going that same week. We own at SSR & BCV and currently have a 2bdr lock-off for the 25-30 at BCV and hope to move the whole reservation at the 7month window. We would love to stay at SSR for the whole time but my parents wil reallly enjoy the F & W and this way we will be close to Epcot.

So I too hope I am able to book Oct 21-24 at the 7 month window

Judy
