BCV 1 BDRM Dedicated?

Question for you...has anyone requested a 1BDRM. Dedicated at BCV? I remember reading several threads on there being dedicated 1bdrms at BCV and that you should request one if you would like to try to have one but when I called to check my ressie for Jan. and asked about it I was told there is "no such thing"

I was told there are only 2bdrm dedicated rooms. I very nicely said I believed she was mistaken but she stuck to her answer.

I tried to work backwards with her by asking about the rooms that have a full bdrm with a studio attached...she said yes they have those...great I said I don't want that room I want one without a door attached to another room! The response was well we have a few of those but you can't request them! What happened to the "there is no such thing" answer she just gave me??

So, I ended my call without being able to request a 1bdrm dedicated...she did wish me a good trip though.

I requested a 1 bedroom dedicated at BWV a couple of years ago. I was told I was already assigned one, that they assign dedicated or lockoff at the time of reservation. To me it makes sense that it has to be preassigned because they have to know how many dedicateds have been booked and how many lockoffs are available to be reserved as 2 bedrooms or 1bedrooms & studios separate. It's possible that it's now done internally and the member services cm does not see it on their screen, I don't know. All 3 times we have stayed at BWV we have had a dedicated 1 bedroom, made the reservation at 11 months.

Thanks so much for your reply. I was thinking as you were that in order to plan for other room combinations you would need to know what in fact is available.

I quess I was also concerned that while "Diane" was telling me there aren't 1bdrm dedicated as a room type she was training another CM on how to work the system so now that person is being told that there is no such thing and will in turn pass that info. on to others who call for assistance.

No big deal if I don't get a dedicated rm. I just thought that if it were something that could be requested I would put in my request...had a bad experience at the GF with a connecting door and I try to avoid rms. that have them.
