If I read the below link correctly, Disney is planning on using one of the main parking lots at Beach club to expand the yacht club's convention space. Won't that shrink in turn available parking at the villas? Also how late the bus transportation to the parks run anymore? Has anyone heard anymore on this?

Beach Club Villas have ample parking but if they take away parking spaces it could get dicey. Rest assured that there will be more than enough valet parking though

Not sure there is reason to worry. I don't think I've ever seen that parking lot full and if it becomes a problem, they can stop all the people parking there that just want to go to EPCOT.

Interesting, although the link above doesn't work I was able to google and find the filing on another site. It is definitely affecting the parking lot next to the convention center. Hopefully Disney will start restricting guests from using the lots to go to Epcot in the evenings.

While parking may not be a problem "now", if the proposed expansion were to occur, all the parking at the last "Villas" lot would have to Handle parking for not just of all villas, but also th beach club and yacht club as well. I think that makes this much more concerning for villas owners.

Could they build a lot across the street like Boardwalk has?

I am concerned as when our family comes for extended trips we go shopping off property for our groceries for the week. In the good old days when Valet was a member perk it was great, just tip valet and bell staff to help get groceries back to room.

When they "privatized" the valet operation and the perk went away we have liked the adjacent parking as we usually request ground floor or near elevator so no biggie. Now limit the parking or make it further away that would make my vacation more inconvenient. I'm sure that is not a concern for Disney because they'd rather me buy my groceries on property.

If they built a lot across the street it should be for the Yacht Club Hotel Guests as I am not carrying my stuff across the street so that Disney can increase its convention business. I'd raise holy hell or just park up front to unload my stuff and dare them to tow my car.

though the parking next to BCV was still there - it was in May?

the convention is next to the regular BC (not BCV) parking. there was plenty of parking for BCV last time I was there.

The rumor has the convention expansion using most of the BC lot, which would mean BC guests could fill up the remaining BCV lot

Like they restrict Epcot guests from parking in the bwv lot? My last few stays at bwv, we have had to park past the guard shack, all the way at the very end of the parking lot by the road.

Then in the evenings, after illuminations, you can watch all the Epcot guests walk to their cars in the bwv parking lot and drive away if you have a standard view villa.

This is concerning news for bcv owners. We haven't used our points to stay there for a few years, but during our last food and wine stay, we found parking to be problematic at certain times. It got to the point that we did not move our car for fear of not having a parking place when we returned.

For those who weren't able to follow the link, the red area is the planned expansion section:

that picture is a pretty good representation of what my experience has been at the BCV parking....there is usually ample spaces....and the way the lot is located, it actually makes entering the DVc side real easy through a side door....so i would imagine the lot should be a bit more full, but i would imagine it would be OK
