Use the Mears shuttle. It does have to be booked at least 24 hrs in advance though. You can call them from your resort room. It should cost about $20 or so, r/t pp. They will ask you what time you want to be picked up and they will then give you your time to be at the bus stop..usually about the same place DME picks up at. You have two choices as to your return trip. You can give them a time to pick you up when you first book, or you can call them a few hours before you want to head out of US/IoA. They will give you a time to be at the bus stop there.
I did see some people trying to get on our bus to US/IoA last August that didn't have advance reservations. They 'said' they had called and made the reservations but they had no confirmation number and they hadn't paid for it...they now tried to use a credit card to pay. But, the driver takes only exact cash. So those people didn't get on that bus. Someone did walk up and ask for a ride, without previous reservations. They had cash so the driver let them on, saying that the bus wasn't full so he could make an exception this time. But it wasn't always going to be the case.
