We are planning a trip to Disney in early December with our 2-year-old. We want to stay at the Beach Club because the pool looks so great. Questions:

Is this resort worth the price?

How long does it take to get to the Magic Kingdom using the Disney transportation?

Is it the best resort for kids?

Have you used the babysitting service? How is it?

The Beach Club pool is the best for kids although I'm not sure a 2 yo will appreciate it.

As far as the price being worth it, I guess it depends on what you can afford. I would love to stay at BC, but it's out of my price range. We stayed right next door at the Dolphin, which is also a Deluxe hotel, but not owned by Disney. We were able to get a discounted rate there and were very happy with the location near Epcot/MGM/Boardwalk.

Our 3 yo was quite content with the Swan/Dolphin Grotto pool, but then he also loved splashing in the puddles at Epcot.

It will take about 20-30 minutes to get to MK by bus. Make sure you bring your own stroller, and one that is fairly easy to fold and get on/off the bus.

Overall, I think you will like the Beach Club. It really is a beautiful resort. Check out Beaches N' Cream.

Well our first stay at the BC Ds was 4 and DD was 3. They loved it, or at least we think they did. We had breakfast with Goofy & Friends at Cape May. They both loved the pool - even at that age they knew about the beach & the areas of SAB that are like a beach were especially fun for them. It may not be the most convenient resort for MK (it is about a 20-30 minute bus ride) it is really no worse than any of the other resorts (except MK resorts). The BC is our favorite resort - I enjoy just about everything the resort. I enjoy being in the lobby early in the morning watching the young children as they wait for the PS at the character breakfast. If you could hear the excitement in their voices & see them, I think your concern would go away. Go for it - you won't be sorry.

I am certain you will love the BC!! It is very kid friendly, and SAB is the best pool!! As far as the price, we've been pretty lucky getting discounts at the YC (next Door), so keep checking!;)

1st of all let me say "Welcome to the Dis"! You certainly came to the right place for information. Everyone here is very helpful! :) Secondly: The BC is a great resort for little ones. Though my 2 were older when we stayed there, it is there favorite resort. My DH was also very happy here. It would be our resort of choice whenever we stay @WDW (unfortunately, we can't always afford it)! As far as the Babysitting goes...we used the BC babysitting & my kids loved it! They didn't want to leave, & wanted to go back the next night! Again, it is very expensive, so not something I could do again. When it is just one child it doesn't seem so bad, but you don't get a discount for 2, so it gets a little expensive. Personally, I feel any resort in the Boardwalk area is the place to stay. There is just so much for the entire family to do when you are by the Boardwalk. If you can afford it, I say do it! You won't be disappointed! Just my 2 cents! Kathy ;)

The BC is great for kids...with the pool being like a beach at some parts, it's very easy to sit in the sand and let your kids play in the shallow water. In fact, one large part is only about 2' deep and it's sand bottomed. Perfect for little ones. We just got back from the BCV and can't wait to go again. I recommend renting points from a DVC member -- you can save TONS over booking through Disney!

Feel free ask more questions! (either here or email)
