Does anyone know what the differences are between these two room categories? According to the the Disney website they are both Lake View rooms. They say the Deluxe is a bigger room but the Lagoon view are more expensive... why is that? Please help.

I know that the deluxe have 2 beds and daybed and Lagoon only has 2 beds, which is why I don't understand why Lagoon View is more expensive since they both have lake views.

I believe the lagoon view is a better view maybe?? I know that the reason at Yacht Club.

Beach Club Water View Concierge: These rooms are on the fifth floor. They have a view of water. It can be a pool or the lagoon. Only the Yacht Club has lagoon views that guarantee the lagoon and not the pool. A water view at the Beach Club is either lagoon or pool. The Water View Concierge or Club Level (same thing) are always on the fifth floor but the rooms can have either two doubles, two queens, two queens and a daybed or a king. There are all these combinations on the fifth floor with a water view. 99% of these rooms on the fifth floor have full balconies.

A deluxe room is a slightly larger room and it does have two queens and a daybed. It is not as large as a suite. It is NOT on the fifth floor. However, it gives you access to the fifth floor (the concierge cast members and the lounge) on your room key. It is not guaranteed to be a water view. It can be a standard view. It is not guaranteed to have a full balcony. It can be a standard view or a water view but at the Beach Club a standard view can be a view of anything (roof, another building, a tree, a parking lot, a garden). If a view is important and you are staying at the Beach Club, book a water view instead!

There is a thread about the Beach Club/Yacht Club that has more information on the deluxe rooms. Contrary to what the pp said, I understand from the other thread that BC deluxe rooms overlook the "quiet" pool on floors 1 through 4.

Why would Disney lie and say that the Deluxe rooms are lake views? Last time I stayed in A deluxe room at BC it was a view of the quiet pool, but Disney is stating that it is a "Lake View"
