BC/BWV at 7 months week after Memorial Day

We're trying to plan a trip for next year. We own at AKL and GCV. We were planning on staying 3 nights at AKL, and then moving either to BC or BW on the Tuesday after Memorial Day.

How difficult will it be to book at 7 months then for a 2BR? We're flexible btw BC or BW. We just want to be within walking distance to the parks for our son in his wheelchair.

You really won't know until you call - availability changes so frequently and both BCV & BWV are relatively small resorts and quite popular choices.

That said, if you call as soon as your 7 month window first opens and as soon as MS opens for the day (9 am Eastern), you will probably get lucky. The Pool/Garden category at the BWV has the most rooms & is more likely to be available than any of the other categories. Don't be afraid to waitlist.

If you waitlist, you will have to choose between 3 options at BCV & 3 options at BWV. You are only allowed two active waitlists per use year.

BCV - dedicated with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom.
BCV - dedicated with 1 queen bed and a queen size sleep sofa in the second bedroom.
BCV - lock off 2 bedroom. Has 1 queen bed and a double size sleep sofa in the second bedroom as well as a kitchenette. (It's really a 1 bedroom and a studio with an interior connecting door between them).

BWV - Pool/Garden view
BWV - Boardwalk view
BWV - Standard view

Boardwalk and standard view categories are very popular and between them have about 40% of the total rooms available. These are less likely to be available than the Pool/Garden rooms, which make up about 60% of the resort. All 2 bedrooms at BWV are lock offs.

I think there are 25 dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 queens in the second bedroom, but that's the extent of my BCV knowledge. Sorry.

I have always traveled that week and have gotten BWV standard view at 7 months both times I tried and got a two bedroom lock-off at BCV.

Thanks, PhotoBob. Have you arrived on the actual Memorial Day Holiday, on Monday or later in the week?

We were hoping to stay at AKV over the weekend, and then transfer to BWV or BCV on Monday. We thought that a lot of folks would be heading to the airport on Monday, but wanted to see what other folk's experience was.

I have arrived Sunday of memorial day weekend and the day after Memorial Day. I have found though it is hot, that is one of the lower crowd times that I have experienced. Many schools aren't out of session yet!
