Last week when we were at OKW we checked out the grills located by the pool area. We loved the set up, but we were surprised to find that they were not gas grills. Has anyone used these grills, and if so, where did you find the charcoal, lighter fluid etc. Would be interested to know if there is anything available that was just the right size for one use, so you don't end up with a bag of charcoal left over etc.

Thanks!

Unfortunately they don't sell the charcoal or lighter fluid on property... you have to purchase it on your way in... we just get it at publix or walmart.. whichever one we stop at.... We usually wind up throwing half the bag away... but, we find it to be worth it!!!

I love to use the grills at OKW at Turtle Pond pool. We either stop at the Publics or Albertsons to get the charcoal, Matchlight so we don't need lighter fluid. We have even got some disposal grills with charcoal at the Costco in Orlando and they did fine. I like steaks on the grill with grilled vegs., and you can't beat sitting at the pool area listing to the music and eating good food. Of course I like to use the stove decoration at OKW also, it is a fault of mine that I like to cook. Can't wait to get back to OKW.

Last time we were at OKW we had a BBQ before we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and it was great, but you need to make sure you are BBQing well before sunset because it gets VERY dark and there aren't very many lights. We bought one of those 1 time bags of charcoal that already has lighter fluid on the coals and you just light both ends of the bad. Worked out great and with some deli salads and chips it was a really cheap fun meal.

akdisneyfan has the right idea. Matchlight makes a one time use bag of charcoal. You just lay the entire bag in the grill and light both ends. It works great and is ready to use before you know it. If you have never used Matchlight before, the charcoal is ready really fast so don't wait too long to put the steaks on. We find that the grills at OKW are great for an inexpensive steak dinner on the days that we don't visit the parks.

Thanks for the info. Think we'll look for those match light one use bags when we return 11/27!! Did you find them at Publix?
