BBC Radio 2 are recording a concert at the Lyceum Theatre, London on 8th December to be broadcast on Radio 2 on 26th December.

Radio 2 brings a galaxy of Broadway and West End stars to London for a unique concert event celebrating The Music of Disney.

Staged in the Lyceum Theatre - the current home of 'The Lion King' - the 70-piece BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Larry Blank, will back a stellar cast that includes the original Broadway stars of 'The Lion King', 'Beauty and the Beast'; 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'; 'Aida' and 'The Little Mermaid' .

Ticket prices are: £52.00, £46.50, £34.00, Standing £17.50 (No Additional Booking Charges)

I just received an email stating that BBC Radio 2 are celebrating the music of Disney in a concert at the Lyceum Theatre, London at 7pm on Monday December 8th 2008. If you can't make that it will be aired on boxing day in the evening.

"Showcasing beloved Disney songs from both stage and screen, this unforgettable concert will be performed by the 74-piece BBC Concert Orchestra.
Spanning over 65 years of the Disney songbook and including 7 Academy Award® winners, as well as Grammy® and Tony Award® winners, the concert will include performances by:
Ashley Brown (Broadway's original Mary Poppins, 'Belle' in Beauty and the Beast)
