BBB and Pirates League

My extended family and I will be in WDW from 12/27-1/5. We are wanting to do simultaneous morning BBB appointments for the girl cousins and Pirates League appts. for the boy cousins, then have everyone meet up for a CRT afterwards.

My question is about timing. Do both activities take about the same amount of time? Meaning, if we make the appointments for the same time, can expect to be finished at about the same time? Or does one take longer than the other? Ideally, we'd like 9am-ish appts, and then do an 11ish lunch? But I have no idea if that's realistic or not, timing-wise. I have read varying reports on how long each thing takes.

Any insight/information/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Having never done either one, I can't really help but to say that we are doing this when we go in June. DD has her BBB appt at 3:30 and DS has a PL one at the same time. We then have a 5:30 CRT ADR. I figure even with them running behind and DD doing the photo shoot thing, we will be fine with making our ADR. Remember that the PL group will have to walk back to the castle so that would take up some of the time.

I just made BBB and Pirate's League appointments this morning for our September trip! The CM on the phone said each one one is about an hour long, but are normally done in about 45 minutes. So, I would just plan for it taking an hour when making your schedule.

We have done the pirates league three times now, and it has taken at least an hour each time. There is usually a wait at the beginning, and then depending on the makeup choice, it's around a half hour in the chair. Then you wait to be called back into captain jacks treasure room and have a photo taken. If it is busy, it could take longer than an hour. I would imagine BBB gets backed up too...

They really do a great job!! It is worth the wait, it's just difficult to plan a reservation around. One recommendation is to bring some good baby wipes for removal later on. Their paint lasts all day, so is hard I get off when they're ready to be done.
