BB Boutique in MK vs. Disney Springs?

We will have 2 princesses and a knight with us on our 2018 trip and I'm debating if it's worth spending park time to visit the Boutique at MK or if we should visit the DS Boutique on a non-park day. Are there advantages to the MK location? Thoughts?

Aside from the one in MK being inside Cinderellas castle, I think their pretty much the exact same.

If I had a daughter and we had a Disney Spring day planned, I'd do the BBB there and not use up all that park time

That's kind of what I was thinking. I read that the DS location is much larger and I don't think the kids will mind missing going inside the castle...especially if we end up doing CRT.

Yes I do believe the DS location is bigger and can accommodate more people. I've never been in either but walking through the castle and seeing the BBB door open there, it seemed fairly small. Then walking through World of Disney and seeing the BBB there I thought it was quite a bit bigger

DS is probably easier to get a ressie for, and it may be bigger. However, there is something to be said for going to the castle and getting all done up. You could always try for a pre park ressie at MK so as to not waste park time if your kids would prefer being in the castle.

I think another advantage of MK is you get to walk around Magic Kingdom in your makeover. At DS, the impact is a little less grand.

For us it was the castle. But that said, one of the cool things about it is walking around the park in princess get up. The CMs often go out of their way to acknowledge that there is a princess amongst them. We were on a mostly empty bus on the way home and they even played a special announcement that everyone had to behave because we were traveling with a Disney princess (me, being a space cadet at first was like 'What? Where?'). Other guests are nice too - we actually ended up in line with someone after our appt that we had been in line with before. She remembered our girls and oohed and ahhhed over the transformation. So it does make the day a little more special and sprinkle a little pixie dust. But they use enough product that the hair will last a day or two so you can dress them up for a park day the day after if you want.

We had our daughter's appointment at MK at 8:00 am last year. She was done in time to be at rope drop so we didn't miss any park time. Both my girls have had appointments at MK and I think it is more magical there. :)

We did DS BBB then 190 Park Faire for dinner. DD's hair with a little touch up was fine the next day at the parks.

If you do CRT, going to BBB in the castle just before makes for great photos at CRT. My princess has aged out of BBB  but, we made our BBB appointment about 60-90 min before our CRT res. Worked out perfectly. If BBB ended early, we would hop on the carousel first. If really early, then Mickey Philharmagic.

We did DS with our daughter, then went touring the resorts (it was post Thanksgiving so had to see the decorations) and so got to enjoy her showing off the outfit without wasting park time. It was the first thing we did after checking in on our very first visit...still a special memory
