This is a BAZZILL CARDSTOCK ONLY swap that means you can only use Bazzill paper in the colors that were picked. That's so all items sort of look the same and will make a nice kit when used together.

The swap would be for 11 and we will be doing
The Epcot Counties (World Showcase)

you would need to make 11 kits

the kit would include
1. title or topper
2. 2 photo mats
3. Journal box or Library Pocket with Tag insert
4. 4 deco squares or 2 embellished slide mounts
5. Song Lyric/poem or quote about the country
6. Shaker Box or Paper Piecing

Due date will be Oct 31st. That's like 9 months from now

NITTY GRITTY
The Nitty Gritty should answer any questions on any spot you would like.

1. NO hand written lettering on ANY items. I may think my handwriting is beautiful (which it's NOT LOL) but you may think its horrid!

2. Topper Spot: The Title in provided for you. Topper must be matted. This means you will be using 3 colors. MUST also be embellished in some way (i.e. brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, embossing, etc).

3. Photo Mat Spots: Picture area must be NO smaller than 4 x 6. Must be matted. This means you will be using 3 colors. MUST also be embellished in some way (i.e. brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, embossing, etc).

4. Journal Box or Library Pocket Spot: The area for writing should be NO smaller than 3 x 4. It can be BIGGER if you would like. It also can be vertical or horizontal. Journal Box must be matted. This means you will be using 3 colors. MUST also be embellished in some way (i.e. brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, embossing, etc). Library Pocket must include the card for journaling.

5. Deco Squares Spot: Squares must be NO smaller than 2 x 2. They can be BIGGER if you would like. It also can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal. Must be matted. MUST also be embellished in some way (i.e. brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, embossing, etc). 6. Song Lyric/Poem Spots or Quote about the country: Song Lyric/Poem/Quote area must be NO smaller than 2 ½ x 3 ½. It can be BIGGER if you would like. It also can be vertical or horizontal. Must be matted. This means you will be using 3 colors. MUST also be embellished in some way (i.e. brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, embossing, etc).

7. Shaker Box or Paper Piecing Spot: Shaker Box please use only the colors provided. Paper Piecing's please use what colors you need BUT they must be Bazzill paper.


Now to the Mailing Details:

1. Place your items a baggie, you will end up with 1 baggie per group you picked. Please DO NOT label your item on its back. Some people don't like that.

2. Label each baggie with your name, screen name, group name & spot number.

3. Place the baggies into a larger Ziploc baggie with your name, screen name & address.

4. You have 3 options for postage.
A. Include enough return postage to mail the swap items back to you plus 2 extra stamps just in case. Any unused postage will be returned to you. Include a padded envelope (in your send) or box with address label, but do not attach the return postage....I will do that when I mail them back. If sending your items in a box I will return them back in the same box. Please make sure I can get the box open without killing it.

B. If you want them returned to you via Priority Mail, please include a $4.10 stamp.....to save room in your envelope DO NOT send a priority envelope I will pick one up for you.

C. If you are in all or more than 2 of the groups, The USPS has a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box; Any weight, any state, for $8.05. This box is large enough to get all your items back to you safely and quickly. It also takes the guesswork out of shipping rate.

5. Mail your packages to:

6. Please email me once your items have been mailed so that I can make sure I'm here for them.

I am amazed by this. I looked at with interest and found after only 2 DIS BOARD postings amd it was full? Who are the people in the swap? If this is a DIS board swap shouldn't the swappers be from here? Not from another board? The reason for our board is to have our crafters participate. I think the header should have been have a few spaces left from another board...follow the link to get the info. This is not a DIS board swap....sorry

If you need to fill just a few swap spots than it really shouldn't be presented as a DIS board swap that only leads to confusion and confusion leads to hurt feelling s and we don't want to go there

I really didn't think anyone other than 1 or 2 maybe 3 people would be interested in this Epcot swap since I saw one posted awhile back and nobody really knows me. I will be happy to make another epcot swap up if anyone would be interested. all i need is 11 more people ) and I will make it for all swappers not just mod and advance (or not). We can also keep the due date the same or you guys can vote on making it sooner or later. Let me know what you want to do.

My issue wasn't with the fact you are a new poster, I have swapped and I am currently in a swap on here with someone with a low post count, that isn't the problem. The problem from my view point, this was posted as a swap for the DIS board, not "help I have a few spots from another board and would love have them filled."
Personal information is given out in swaps, granted all of that info should stay with the hostest but with the fact this is on two boards how would we know what was or wasn't posted else where?
We have people all the time link us to other sites about a neat swap or if they need an angel or something in another swap. I don't have a problem with that.
I guess I just want to know up front who I am swapping with and can follow the progression of the swap...that is part of the fun, people ask questions, or tell they have finished part of their swap and then when it goes postal. A swap like this...we would only get a response from you on how the other ladies/gents are doing. Does that make sense?

I totally understand.

When I send out final details I send it to the swappers involved (most people don't like their email address public) and we (the swappers involved)communicate like that. I have always done my swaps like this and hosts that I have swapped with do the same thing. When I do another swap it will run the same way. AFTER the swap is over I will post the results so all can see. That's just the way I was taught by hostesses I have swapped with before I came to host.

Right now I'm working out the final details with the swappers in the Epcot swap (we are deciding to change it up a bit) and as soon as i finish with that I will post another Epcot swap for those here if anyone wants to be in it.

That's fine, but all of the swaps that have run on this board, we had a running converstation during the entire swap time.
The hostess checks in too. The hostess has always PM us her mailing address and info that we need. So it is not out in the public to see. updates are made on the original thread or a new one might be started.
So I guess it is just different view points. Again as long as the person is upfront about their rules, time lines and who I am swapping with I dont' have a problem. If i dont' like the rules/system I don't join in...
I also don't join if I don't feel comfortable with the hostess or people in the swap. Which may sound harsh, luckily never had that feeling on this board. BUt again I have always know who took what element and who was playing.

ok clearly the point being made here was completely missed. the issue here is not the fact that you are hostessing a swap or even how you feel like running it. the issue was that it was not presented in an up front manner. If you want to bring a swap from another board to fill it up, fine, no problem. Just please say that so people aren't disappointed over here.
