Bayou Bash review

I went to the first day of the Bayou Bash yesterday and thought I would provide some pictures and details to anyone thinking of going.

The park opened at 9am and the first performance was at 11am, which was the jazz band. Everything takes place on a stage set up right in front of Pirates Lair.

The band was amazing and should definitely be seen, even if you only wanted to go to see Tiana's show.

This prop was sitting near the stage, but I never saw it used during either show. Weird.

Next up was Tiana's show.

They come in from near the Golden Horseshow and make their way to the stage. The sound cut out during the performance, but the performers were great and the show went on.

Chip and Dale switch off with Mickey and Minnie for meet and greets in the Court of Angels while the show happens. Between shows, Tiana and Naveen greet. I missed Mickey and Minnie each time I went, so no pictures of them, but they were very cute what I saw of them.

No picture of me with them because I looked horrible in it.

There were also some special foods at Cafe Orleans, like a Banana Fosters cheesecake with caramel and a special cupcake, but I didn't go in to see what they looked like.

So Tiana and Naveen do a meet and greet again? That's great news! Really nudging me towards a mid-February trip next year!

Thanks for the pictures! I think that prop was used in the original Tiana's Showboat Jubilee back in 2009, I think it was? It was just a little prop that the folks in the parade would hold if I recall correctly (and I think they'd had one of Naveen too!).

Thanks for the pictures! I think that prop was used in the original Tiana's Showboat Jubilee back in 2009, I think it was? It was just a little prop that the folks in the parade would hold if I recall correctly (and I think they'd had one of Naveen too!).

They meet together in between their shows and the line was always super short, never more than 5-7 families long for them, or the other sets of characters. I think because of the location that not many people knew about it. It wasn't announced from the main pathway, but I knew from experience that someone would be there, and had a pleasant surprise when I found Tiana and Naveen.

It's just weird that they set out the prop and never used it. It was just sitting there and it was so cute that I had to take a picture.

I was there yesterday and thought is was great also. We went to the meet and great area behind cafe new orleans at 915 am. We were told that characters would come out to the meet and greet at 10, but they didnt know which ones. We came back at ten and were told it would be another ten minute wait. We were first in line and soon met Tiana and Naveen.

We watched the show and went back to the meet and greet area a couple times. We also met Mickey Minnie Chip Dale and Goofey all were wearing the Mardi Gras outfits.

I would offer the following tips. There are two different shows on the stage, when one ends go immediately to the meet and greet area to beat the mini rush.

Sometimes the meet and greet area has two different characters like Mickey on one side and Chip and Dale on the other. There is one line for both. But there was photo pass only available for Mickey so have your camera ready for the other.

At the Tiana show they let some little girls come to the side of the stage and dance, so if you are closer the the front you can get some good photos of if you have a girl that like to go up front and dance.

Lastly the CM let people sit on the concrete wall directly in front of stage. Which is the best spot to see the show.

According to DL.com, it will be going on until 3/11, but the program I got yesterday gives the hours of the celebration and underneath it says Fri-Sun, so I think it might only be weekends.
