Any where at MK where we can find Baymax? Also for a goofy and Donald greet is Petra silly side show the best spot or will they be throughout the park?

Baymax is not meeting at any of the parks currently. As for goofy and Donald the silly slide show would probably be your best bet in the MK.

I was listening to a podcast last night where Jim Hill mentioned that the problem is these characters are initially paid for by the movie side of the business. But once the DVD has been released that funding goes away. Parks only picks up the cost if the movie/characters have been a huge success.

That would explain why a lot of these characters only come in for 9 months to a year then leave.

You get a lot of those sorts of funding issues in large corporations.

Only problem is that's not what happened with Baymax. The movie was successful but they closed down the animation building at DHS where he met guests.

I'm not sure that changes anything. It was a successful movie but not a Frozen scale success and if they had wanted to they could easily have moved the meet and greet somewhere else. I think the logic stands.

You can't compare it to frozen. A frozen level movie comes once a decade maybe. The movie was still very successful.

You're isolating details and missing the whole point. I'm not criticizing the movie, I'm discussing how who pays for something can impact whether a character is in the parks. How many characters can you name who have been permanently added to the parks in the last five years? Lots of characters get short runs because they are being funded by the movie arm of the company.

I have 3 grand daughters ranging in age from 3-7 and they love Baymax as well as the Incredibles. I do think Disney tends to forget that there are characters in their movies that will primarily appeal to the boys with girls following behind. The boys do not seem to have as many characters to meet and grow to love and that is truly unfortunate. Have a few Character M&Gs or character meals that will appeal to the boys and maybe the bottom line will grow...it couldn't hurt to try it could it?
