Hello....Thinking of booking a room here and wondering if it is worth the extra to be guaranteed a MK view. Last time we did a lake view and got lucky and could see the MK from the room. Opinions please?

In my opinion MK view is great, but not worth the extra $$$ for me. I don't mind the lake view and seeing the EWP at night is pretty cool. We usually watch fireworks at some park each night so we wouldn't get to enjoy the fireworks from our room if we had a theme park view. With that said, waking up to MK each morning definitely makes me want to fork over that money.

At the CR or BLT, either the lake view or MK view is good. We have enjoyed both. The lake view is a view that people would happily pay extra for at other resorts. The MK view can include some parking lot and other less desirable items, but includes fireworks for your balcony. We book TPV if we have little ones and will be in the room to watch fireworks. We book LV if we plan top be out in the parks most evenings.

Sometimes, price will be a factor. If you can get a discount/better than usual price for either one, then we will often go with that.

Either way, it is a great resort. Enjoy!

They call it theme park view instead of MK view because you might not get a great view of the MK. You might get a great view of the bus station at the MK or the monorail line with the theme park behind it.

I stayed at BLT with a theme park view in late November and it was awesome. Had a tremendous view of the fireworks and there's a station on the TV that you can sync up with the music for Happily Ever After. I could even see the castle and the projections, though it helped I knew what I was looking at from having seen it before. I was on the 10th floor and I also enjoyed that not only could I see MK but had a great view of the lake, the Grand, etc. I could even look out the other way and make out various other Disney landmarks. I'm sure the lake view is great too but the theme park view I had allowed me to see just about everything you could want to see from your room. Also, loved the room and the walk to MK.

I've never had a theme park view, and know that it would be fab, but it's a lot of $. The lake view is beautiful!

Years ago, and I mane YEARS ago, my now DH booked the CR for us. He booked lake view for the EWP. Now back then there was not much at night so this was pretty special. When we took the kids he did the same thing, and they loved seeing it from the balcony.

CR is not my favorite resort any longer, but I think if I ever book it I will need to do the same thing just so DH can watch that little parade from the balcony, just as he did with the kids.

I am not a fan of the lake view from BLT. Every time I had that I felt like I was just looking across to the other side of the tower and not having a real good view of the lake. I tend to just do with the standard view now since the last 3 times there we had that view and it was a great view of the fireworks.
