Just wondering what the best way to get there and back is......They have a basketball thing on Thanksgiving and I wonder if they will have special buses or should I just call a cab...we won't have a car this time
Thanks

Here's the official WWOS complex transportation info:

All guests are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and other event competition venues unless special transportation has been arranged specifically for your event.
Bus transportation to ESPN Wide World of Sports is available from Disney's All-Star Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort on a limited schedule:
Thursday - Monday 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
These buses will also run when events are taking place at the Sports Complex based on the following schedule:
One (1) hour prior to Sports Complex opening until 11:00 p.m. or Sports Complex close,
whichever is later
During the scheduled operating hours, buses from Disney's All-Star Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort to ESPN Wide World of Sports will arrive at the Sports Complex on the hour and ½ hour.
Due to capacities and schedules, these buses may not be able to accommodate teams and equipment. To ensure your team's on-time arrival for competition at ESPN Wide World of Sports, please use event transportation if it is included with your event, or make arrangements for your own transportation to the Sports Complex.

So basically, walk to Magic Kingdom, then get a bus to Pop, All-Stars, or Caribbean Beach, then another bus to WWoS.

The Thurs-Sun thing is not really reliable. They pretty much run only when there is something scheduled at EWWS.

At CBR, the EWWS bus stops only at the Custom House, at the internal shuttle stop. You would get off your incoming bus at Barbados, and walk the path across the street to the Custom House.

At Pop, the bus stops at the stop nearest the lobby. I don't think they've put up a sign yet; it may just say "Bus Only". At all 3 All-Stars, the stop is the furthest from the lobby, shared with DHS.

If the buses are not running, Pop is the closest resort, so the cheapest place to grab a cab.

To the OP: you're fortunate that you're within easy walking distance of the MK. Guests at most other resorts have to take 3 buses: a 2-hour Odyssey. Even so, allow plenty of time, as the EWWS buses run only every 30 minutes.

Direct charter buses may or may not be available. It's up the event organizer and/or sponsor.

You can pick up a bus to the wide world of sports from Hollywood studios.

That is no longer true. That route was discontinued backe in Feb/March os 2010

That stinks! We have used the bus from Hollywood Studios for years because we like the Spring Training games at the Wide World of Sports. This year I specifically have a reservation @ Boardwalk so we could walk to Hollywood Studios in order to catch the bus. Now I need a new plan
