Just wondering, does anyone knows about how long it takes to walk from the Bay Lake Villas to the Contemporary's monorail stop?

Also, if we stay at BLV, do they have their own bus stops for HS and AK parks?

Thank you!!

Wow! That's awesome!

I'm having a really hard time deciding between Poly Villas and BLT..
This will be our first time staying on site and being on the monorail is pretty important to us!

Honestly, we always walk from BLT to MK and back again. Unless we just feel like taking a monorail ride (which is something I love to do), or if it is raining. (I hate waiting for the monorail, lol). This could just be because my son is in a WC and it is easier for us to walk then go up in the elevators or up that big ramp at MK.

It is a very short walk, at least to me.

Ditto on it's a short walk. Takes my kids and I under 10 minutes to MK and under 5 minutes to the Monorail station inside the Contemporary. The Polynesian is beautiful and riding the monorail is very cool. However, being within walking distance to Magic Kingdom, in my opinion, is the most perfect, most magical amenity any hotel on Disney property has to offer. And, you can still ride the monorail to Epcot or resort hop to the Poly and Grand Floridian. Granted, I have visited WDW many times and I’ve stayed on most of the on property resorts. If I could afford to stay at the Contemporary or Bay Lake Tower each time I visit… I’d do it without any hesitation.

Is Bay Lake tower worth it? Or is it very removed from the Contemporary feel?

I'm asking because I can stay here instead of Beach Club for the same price and I'm wondering if it's a better choice?

I'll find out in April. We have a one bedroom villa. I'm very excited to see it, first time there. Our last trip was the Grand Floridian. It's hard to beat that but we'll see.

Factor in the parks and BW proximity. If you have hoppers and plan on Epcotting and BWing, and HSing a lot, BC/YC, BW and SWolphin are pretty tough to beat. Also, every restaurant in the EP are resorts are 5 minute walks.

BLT studios are among the smallest DVC studios.
Poly Studios are among the largest (and have the extra vanity and shower)

the extra full bathroom in the BLT 1BR is a nice benefit. It’s a different feel than GFV, but I think it’s great to try them all.

I agree. This time I have my grandchildren so it will be new things. I like the distance to the Magic Kingdom. Next fall we're staying at the Polynesian! I want to try everything!

Bay lake is not my favourite aesthetically. It is a somewhat stark concrete and steel structure, and the contemporary is contemporary to 1971, not 2017.
But:
1. Inside it’s very nice.
2. Wave restaurant good and has had 30% DVC discount I’m hoping that will extend next year for when I go.
3. Top of the World Lounge.
4. Best 1 beds on site save OKW and Kidani.
5. Monorail.
6. Walk to Magic Kingdom.

In other words, roll on July 2018.

I take it you haven't stayed in the GFV one bedroom yet. They are divine.
