We decided last minute to get tickets to Very Merriest so I booked a 2 night stay at BLT the weekend before Christmas. We aren't planning on going into the parks besides for the after hours (Christmas crowds aren't something I want to deal with), but still want the kids to have fun. Besides looking for a reservation for Topolino's/Chef Mickey's, what are some kid-friendly things for resort stays (specifically BLT) when it's cold (or at least too cold to be swimming)? There will be a good chunk of time when we will be "homeless" because we have to switch rooms (I could only find a standard for 1 night and a lake view for the second night). Kids are young - 6 and 4.

Being at BLT, how about a tour through the monorail resorts to enjoy the decorations? I don't know whether they'll be doing the fabulous gingerbread houses as they used to do pre-Covid, but even if not, they're sure to have some beautiful displays. You could spend as long or as little time as you have available just touring through Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian for their holiday displays and gift shops. Have a meal or some treats along the way. You could add a boat ride to the Wilderness Lodge (boats are fun and they also have fantastic holiday displays). Also, BLT has a nice Community Hall for crafts or movies or games. Again, my girls have outgrown, but assuming these are open currently, they always had fun activities (some do have an added cost). That's also where you could borrow equipment for shuffleboard or pool at the resort, if of interest. Have a wonderful time!
