Okay, just to clarify for OP (because I think some of the previous posts were a little confusing):
Almost every DVC resort has studios, 1 bedrooms, and 2 bedrooms. Some DVC resorts also have 3 bedrooms ("grand villas").
Poly does not have 1 bedrooms, and their 2 bedroom units are the bungalows on the water.
Every studio has a kitchenette. Every 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom has a full kitchen.
Studios do not have washers and dryers.
Every 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom has a washer and dryer.
Every DVC resort has a laundry room for people in the studios to use.
If you book through Disney's website or 1-407-WDISNEY, you will get housekeeping every day.
If a DVC member books through the DVC Member Website, you do not get housekeeping every day.
If you "rent points," that means a DVC member books through the DVC Member website for you. If you use an agency, the agency is the middle man, finding a DVC member to make the reservation for you.
All studios are not the same size. OP, you said you are staying for 3 weeks. You might want to consider the size situation.
Also remember that the bed situation is different from a regular hotel room. If you need real beds, the only studios with 2 real beds are at Old Key West. Otherwise you will have one queen size bed, one pull-out sleeper sofa. Some also have a pull-down bed which is smaller than a twin bed (not sure if all studios have them now.)
[Edited because I made a mistake regarding types of villas in the resorts.]
