Bay Lake tower availablity - 2bedroom villa lake or theme park view (end of june/ 1st week july or mid July)

How much availability is there typically for 2 bedrooms at BLT (lake or theme park) at the end of June or first week July or mid-July? I'm hearing that summer isn't really a prime time for DVC members to book trips. Not sure if that's true.Thanks.

Pre-pandemic, there was a real risk for TP 2BRs to disappear in late June and early July before 7 months out, more so that July time than the June time. Lake view also had a risk for those early July dates that included July 4, but with a twist to it. In several years, July 3-5 (and days before) was open at 7-months out from June 28, but by 7-months out from June 29 or June 30, those July 3-5 dates filled. In other words, those making multi-night reservations at seven months from late June were filling the July 4 times.

An additional issue applies to 2022. Thus far, the 7-month reservation patterns for 2022 dates have varied from the pre-pandemic times in that more rooms, including particularly larger rooms like 2BRs, are filling before 7-months out at BLT than happened before the pandemic shutdown.That is possibly a result of many eager to come back to WDW and many having excess points due to banking of points for use in 2022. In other words, there's probably a greater risk than previously for both TP and lake view BLT 2BRs to disappear before 7-months out for late June and early July 2022.
