Hi All - we are long time owners at Saratogo and are happy there. However, we love staying at Contemporary when we can. Being next to Magic Kingdom is great. We are at Bay Lake Tower now for the first time and love it And want in. We will keep Saratogo. I know resale is tight right now. I was wondering if anyone had any recent direct purchase experience at Bay Lake. We want a December use year and 300 plus points.

Thanks.

Thanks. I had not seen that pricing. I think we will keep looking resale.

If you already have direct benefits then there is really no reason to buy direct from DVC.

I agree. I hadn't researched it much, just watched the resale listings and they are thin as has been discussed. I didn't realize the direct price was so high. I am in no hurry to purchase.

Thank you for your responses.

Since you're looking that large (300 pts) it likely doesn't apply for your situation but for many looking at this decision, selling what they own and adding BLT enough to cover all needs can often be best, esp if they didn't make a great UY decision up front. It simply depends on how many/what one owns otherwise, how they'll use it and how many points they're looking at buying. But the loss of qualified status will play into this for some.

You'd have to be crazy to buy BLT direct at 185 a point. Hang on until nearer Christmas, there should be a lot more BLT on sale at around $10 less a point resale tgan the current resale price- prices have always dropped near Xmas.

Agreed. We were looking at the turn of the year and saw a similar effect. By mid-Feb, the prices seemed to rise again. I can't believe how high they are listing now (we bought at $105/pt. for BLT and closed in March).
