Any advice on staying in a 3 bedroom villa with a theme park view or lake view. We have reserved a theme park view but it would obviously be less for a lake view. Is it worth it????

Believe it or not, I prefer the lake view. We had a TPV studio in Jan and while it was nice, I did not think it was worth the number of points we used. Yes, it's nice to see the castle, but before you see the castle, you see the parking lot. At most resorts, parking lot views are standard view, but because you can see the castle in the distance, it's considered prime real estate. Also, the castle went dark every night at 10pm. So we were sitting on the balcony expecting to enjoy the castle and we could not. Glad I did it once, but won't do it again. Hope this helps!

I didn't have TP view, but we loved having the lake view, especially during the Electric Water Pageant.

With a grand villa, those are all on the top floors, right? You should have an amazing MK view.

We loved the Theme Park View.

It's not the best picture, but here's an idea of the view. It was really nice for fireworks.

We were on the 10th floor with a TPV and it was ok as I described above, but IMO, not at all the best view in Disney.

We had a 2 bedroom at the BWV with a BW view and for those that saw the episode of Great Hotels with Samantha Brown when she visited the BW, we had that room. Now that's a room with a view worth paying for!

How was the Grand Villa?
Thanks for sharing your picture, it helps :)

It was awesome. We had my wife and I, our 3 kids, and my parents. It was such a good trip, we were afraid to stay anywhere besides BLT for a while. We've since gone back to WDW 5 times and stayed at other resorts, but the BLT Grand Villa was amazing.

I love theme park view. I would choose a TPV studio over a standard view 1-bdrm! The GVs are at the top, so your view should be great. We love our private view of the fireworks. It is so peaceful.

Great, thanks for the info. We stayed in a Grand Villa at AK last September and loved it. We were actually afraid to stay anywhere else for this trip so we are compromising, 3 nights in a GV at AK, and then 4 nights in a GV at BLT.

There's a BLT thread with room numbers and views on the DVC Resorts forum. The GVs at BLT are generally on the top floors. We leave tomorrow for another stay in a GV at BLT. The lake views from the north tower are pretty good as well.

For us it was water view all the way. I would enjoy the fireworks/wishes/etc in the park and leisurely walk back to the hotel... But on the few nights we were back in our room (went to other parks that day) we were able to have a great view of the electric water pageant with our lake view room. We were in the most concave part of the hotel, having a view of the pool and bay lake, and the pageant was right there to see from the comfort of our balcony. It seemed more magical to me than to see a parking lot, but I could see how watching the fireworks from a balcony could be fun.

If you don't mind, can you take a picture of your view for me?
