Bay Hill Invitational?

DH just realized that if we arrive a day earlier(which we could do, and were leaning towards anyway ) he could attend the Bay Hill Invitational Golf Tournament. Does anyone have any info on this? Where would be a good place to stay? Thanks in advance for any info!

OMG, DH is going to be sooo jealous! He was fortunate enough to stay at Bay Hill once for a conference, and he's been teasing me ever since that it was HIS idea of "the greatest place on earth". He says that next time we (I) go to WDW, we're going to split apart at the airport and meet up again at the end of the week.

Bay Hill is not only a great course, but a great tournament as well. If Tiger has his 'A Game' and provides anywhere near the exciting finish he did last year, then it will be well worth the time and expense of coming a day early Not to mention, your husband will be forever grateful

Thank you all. I just booked Royal Plaza resort through Priceline...it has really mixed reviews, but as long as it's clean I can take it for one night. I really wish they would allow cell phones on the course....DD(4) and I will be doing our own thing and it is really going to hamper us not being able to "talk". I' m thinking the best thing now though is for us to drop them off at the course(if they'll let us--it says to park at Universal and catch a shuttle) and then let them shuttle to Universal and catch a taxi back to SSR so DD and I can have the car to do our shopping for the week. I've not really driven in WDW(let dh have that job ) but surely I can handle it, I'm a big girl, right? Right?Somebody please tell this Ky small town girl she can handle to Orlando traffic LOL.

There will be public locations at the tournament where your husband can call you. You just won't be able to call him at your leisure.

It will be a great time. I will be there Fri-Sun. Always one of my favorite weekends of the year, in addition to the Tavistock Cup.

Yeah I wouldnt advise having a cell phone. If it went off at an inopportune time, its likely Steve Williams will throw it into the lake on 18.

Indeed! Have fun this weekend Matt. I usually go every year also, but had a conflict this year. Then like a dummy I planned a trip to DC during the Players so I wont get to go to that either. Oh well, next year I'll be better at planning....
