Battlestar Galactica questions - May be spoilers...

Laurie31,

I start planning my next trip to the mountains as soon as I get back from a trip. We stay in Maggie Valley, NC.

A dulcimer is a great instrument. I play guitar, but I don't think I could master a dulcimer. Your daughter must be as smart as she is pretty.

And you're right, a trip to Atlanta wouldn't be very expensive, and it'd be worth it to see the BSG cast. But it's...Atlanta. Traffic is awful! :scared1:

That's a very sweet thing to say :flower3:

DD inherited her musical talent - my dad played piano and organ, and her great grandmother played the oboe in an orchestra. The dulcimer is so pretty; I love to hear her play. (much happier than when she practices the violin - lol)

As for Atlanta - tell me about it! I despise the traffic, the random one-way streets, etc. MY DH feels like you do - to the point that last year, I went to DragonCon alone  (with friends, though). But I had SO much fun, I'm making him come with me this year. He will love it, despite the...Atlanta-ness of it all. ;) Actually, he's found out that there's a state park about 12 miles from the con hotels, and he's planning to go off there one day with some of my friends' hubbies, so they can hike. LOL.

Last year, the BSG actors who attended were Jamie Bamber, Aaron Douglas, Richard Hatch, and Mark Sheppard. They were all great, but Jamie and Aaron were a riot together, and I can only imagine what they will be like this year with James Callis thrown in there. I've heard he's really funny in "real life" too.
