I have been comparison shopping these two BW's, as we have always stayed at the BWPPI but the prices they're quoting me for our next trip in December are very high (~$320-360, and not necessarily for prime December either).

The BW Anaheim Inn is owned by the same people I think but it's coming in ~$50 cheaper per night (include the resort fee). Has anyone stayed at both, and can comment on the differences? Our main considerations are breakfast and location (I know Anaheim Inn is slightly farther from the parks).

My kids have strangely formed an attachment to BWPPI as a tradition, but $350 a night? :scared:

I have stayed at both and had good experiences at both. The breakfast was similar in both places and the walk isn't too much further. My first choice is to usually stay at BWPPI but when the Anaheim Inn cheaper I will happily stay there.

The rooms at the Anaheim Inn are not Mini Suites and felt bit small but. not was good for two of us. I would compare the property it to the Park Place Inn as far as the atmosphere but it is smaller. We would go back to either one.

I agree with the general sentiment that both BWPPI and BW Anaheim Inn are great options. If the BW Anaheim Inn was $50 per night cheaper, I'd likely go that route personally since the proximity is still great. Yes, the BWPPI cannot be beat, but the I'd be happy to save the $50 per night! One thing about the BW Anaheim Inn is that they do have a few unique room layouts with multiple rooms. I do not believe there's many of them, and they might be prohibitively more expensive, but they offered an interesting option for a multi-adult and child trip.

Those prices are mind boggling🤯. For reference, I did a comparison on my Oct 22 trip at BWPPI. I booked my 2 double room in January '22 for my October stay at a rewards member rate of $189. If I were to book the same room for the same dates in October '23, with the same amount of lead time, the reward member rate would be $306. That's ridiculous, and it makes me think they are pushing the envelope to see what they can get.

I'm traveling quite a bit this spring, doing college tours with my son. I'm finding that rates have increased everywhere, but not at that crazy of a rate!

Exactly! I looked back at what we paid in 2019 and it's now almost double what we paid then for the same time frame. I know prices have risen on everything, but on our trip this past December we went from BWPPI to Hawaii and I paid less than that there. When it's cheaper to stay in Hawaii over Christmas than it is at what is essentially a motel, that's alarming.

With that and the ticket prices, Genie+, etc, I keep threatening to stop going, but here I am... trip planning again. :rotfl: I think this year I will lay it all out and think hard about whether it not it's worth it.

I stayed at BWPPI in July '19 and Oct '21 and while I enjoyed my experience in 2019, I thought things had gone so downhill by my 2021 stay. Mattresses were in dire need of being replaced, rooms were so tired, AC was so noisy, breakfast was a shade of what it was pre-pandemic. The room looked okay as long as you didn't look at anything too closely I suppose. I cannot believe they are charging over $300 night now, wow! I had initially booked the Anaheim Inn until a cheaper room freed up at PPI, so for me the PPI was actually cheaper at the time, so I would keep checking as dates get closer in case rates/availability changes. I am looking at a September trip and am not sure if I want to return to the BWs or try something different...the short walk sure is nice

Said this in another thread, but I booked our hotel stay at BWPPI 12 months ago and each room was $215/night.

The same room is now $330/night.

Makes me wonder if I should book for next year as I'll probably be wishing we had the $330 rate and thinking about what a bargain it is!

We loved BW Anaheim Inn. We had the suite, so it had 2 bedrooms (1 king bed, 2 queen) and 1 bathroom. It was very comfortable and the breakfast is great. We had hot food choices every day. I timed the walk from our room to the Disneyland crosswalk-it was literally 2.5 minutes. I liked being down the road from the crosswalk, actually, because it's always so busy. Anaheim is just that little bit apart from the intersection. It's not available for our March trip so we're currently booked at BWPPI, but I really hope our dates open up.
