Bathtubs

Hi everyone,

This is actually my first post here!

I just have one question for now. My other half and I are planning an anniversary trip to WDW next year (Valentine's Week) and are interested in a whirlpool/jacuzzi/big bathtub.

Can anyone let me know which resorts have these? Would I need to specifically request a room with one?

to my knowledge none of the on site resorts have them in the rooms.



the deluxes( except for Poly) have hot tubs by the pools.

Not sure any of the Disney hotels have those...don't remember seeing that as a choice whenever we've booked. And we've stayed at Beach Club, Boardwalk, Contemporary, Polynesian,Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter, Ft Wilderness Cabins...none of those had jacuzzi or big tubs. We've stayed concierge level at several of them...just standard tubs. In fact, I think the tubs are actually a bit small.

It's not so much an actual hot tub that I'm after, more just a big bathtub that may (or may not!) have whirlpool/jacuzzi features.

I believe some villas have them but a villa is a bit much for just two people. But, it is a special occasion...

you will most likely have to stay off site if that is a deal breaker.

I think the DVC Villas are going to be your only option. The 1 & 2 BR's have them although the ones at BLT & AKV are smaller, more like the size of a regular tub. The one at OKW is the largest.

I think the Garden Cottages at BWI have them but am not 100% certain.

You are correct the villas have them. We have stayed at the BWVs and the BCVs and the 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms have them. We stayed over 10 years ago at Old Key West but I don't remember what they had. I think all of the villas have them in the 1 bedroom and up.

I think WL has Honeymoon Suites with big tubs. The AKL President & VP suites have cool tubs. And I think the King president suite at the poly has a whirlpool.

You are right; the one and two bedroom villas have them.

All 1, 2, and 3 bedroom villas at DVC resorts have big jetted tubs. That's AKV, SSR, OKW, BCV, BWV, BLT, VWL. Some of the suites at the deluxe resorts have them, and I *think* the garden suites at BWI have them as well.

That's pretty much it onsite.

There were also a few honeymoom rooms in the main building at the Grand Floridian that have a jacuzzi. I remember being in one with my husband back in 2003.

1) Grand Floridian Main Building (I think all rooms). *
2) Wilderness Lodge "Honeymoon" rooms.
3) Actual "suites" at WL, Poly, BW.

* At least I yet to have a room at GF-Main-Building that
did not have a jac tub. That includes our stay last month.

We will probably only be staying at a deluxe/villa for 2 nights during our stay so a splurge for the GF (where I've never stayed but always wanted to) might be really special.

A king sized bed would be super as well...decisions, decisions!

If you are interested in a villa, you can look into renting points. It would make it cheaper than many other options. Staying at the GF would certainly be nice though!

Yes ... The Honeymoon suite at the WL has one for certain. As for the GF RPC, We were upgraded to a suite like room upon check in (room 4320) last November (a very nice surprise .... It was huge). The tub was huge and very deep like a jacuzzi tub but without the jets.
