Howdy all,

I wanted to know how the public bathrooms rate around the parks. Are they clean, safe....etc.

In general, how clean is the park? Yes, we are first timers, :cool1: <~happy but blind, lol.

thanks

I have found as a rule the bathrooms at Disney parks are cleaner then any other parks or that type of place we have gone to. I dont think they are as good about keeping them clean as they were years ago but still much nicer then many other 'public' bathrooms.

Safe? Well I always go inside and wait for my kids who are now 9 and 11 if that helps. I do that anywhere but I dont think I have ever had any reason to feel unsafe

I'd say that the bathrooms and parks are very clean considering the volume of people that they handle. Not always sparkling, but far, far above average.

WDW use to be so clean i would seriously eat off the ground. Last trip we did notice that they were needing to do a little upkeep, but WDW is still MUCH MUCH nicer and cleaner than any other park-resort that i have been to.

Hi! We were newbies, but now we're not. :earsgirl: I was really pleased with the bathrooms. They are air conditioned, large, and rarely have a mirror behind the sink! :rotfl2: Since we were there when the heat index was 110, I had no need to see what I looked like!

WDW also provides lots of toilet seat liners. I was never in a stall that had run out. I used them a lot there, more than ever. The little girls seemed to be a bit messy. So, I'd wipe off the seat and put down a liner.

Also, I though they were pretty safe. DD8 and I always went together. :confused3

Disney bathrooms are probably as safe as you'll get in a public space. As a rule, they are far too busy to be a good place for a predator - and far too busy with the type of people (Moms and Dads) who are predator aware and will interfere. That said, you need to go with your own comfort level and age and maturity of your children when deciding if they will visit bathrooms unattended.

As someone said, they aren't as clean as they were years ago (I think the season also has something to do with it, busier seasons its just harder to clean up), but for public bathrooms where you have LOTS of little kids, they are really pretty good.

I used the one at DL just a few days ago and they are on top og everything.. The kid potties are sanitized and wiped clean after every kid. same with the changing tables.. My DS 3.5 loved the little potties. I liked that they were so clean. Even if we had to wait a minute for them to finish cleaning them.

I have to say that just about every time I've walked into a Disney restroom there is a person in there cleaning it. So, as far as bathrooms go, I'd say they are pretty clean.
