Bath and Body Works candle sale this Saturday? Give me your advice.

Wow, I started not to get up and be there at 7 a.m., but I did because I did not know what to except. One thing that I will do next year is to go a few weeks before and smell all of the scents and know exactly what I want to get before I go in. I never expected them to rename my favorite Heirloom Apple to another scent. I was really surprised and tickled pink.

I also noticed that the same scent had 2 or 3 different label designs.

I wanted Twisted Peppermint and Vanilla Bean Noel. Got to BB&W at 10 a.m. and they were sold out of both. The employee suggested I get a different scents and then I can exchange them when the candles are back in stock.

Since those are holiday scents, they might not get them back in. I would hope so, and you can certainly try. My DS12 is mad for Twisted Peppermint, so I got him the body wash, fragrance mist, and hand sanitizer earlier this week, with some coupons that I had.

I would love to plan and save up enough money for next years sale for my candle use of about 6 a month for 6 months. Well four for the month of December and then six for the months of January-June. So that is like 40 candles. I know this would not be something I could do by myself, it was hard enough on me to get 17 out the door. Physically bad on my back for the most part with the weight of them.

And I also found my favorite Fall scent of Heirloom Apple, now renamed Iced Cranberry. Exact same scent, new name.
The limit is 15. How did you get 17?

went this morning as we have a store in a strip mall next to Target and bought my 15. The employees said they opened at 3am! Crazy! I got there at 8:45 and was out by 9:15. There was a line outside just waiting for customers to leave to be able to go in. The store was run efficiently and easy peasy!

I'm so glad that we have an actual White Barn store.
I got there around 3:30, shelves were fully stocked and even though there were a ton of people in the store, there was no line. I couldn't imagine having all those people plus the ones shopping for bath and body products crammed in to one store.
I think I am set until next year as far as scents go, I got something for every season.

They were allowing people to purchase over 15 candles by ringing them up in two separate transactions. Lady in front of me got 24 of them. I am glad we went when we did. When we left we noticed the line had double in length. I took the hubby with me. He stood in line while I shopped which worked out great. Hubby had to go back to the mall later and he noticed the line was still really long at 1 p.m.

I went to a store in a strip mall about 10 and it wasn’t too bad. I was out by about 1030. I got 10 candles and a body wash for $75. I didn’t have a 20% off, but I had a $15 off and a free item one (that’s why I got the body wash.)

We do too. They are connected in the mall in Chattanooga, TN.

Wow, wagons. Just wow.
I am gonna try to take this comment back somewhat. I was told a tip about bringing in a rolling suitcase to use. After yesterday with two trips to my car and my back starting to hurt a little, I was thinking a rolling suitcase would be great right now.

No way I'm gonna do this by myself next year, especially if I try to get 30 candles. Would need someone to at least stay outside of the store with the suitcase if I choose to try that.

I know I'm late to the game, but if anyone had a bad experience...just wait for the Semi-Annual Sale! Candles usually go for $10-$12 and you can use coupons. I never buy from BBW until those sales where I stock up on soap, body spray, wallflowers, and candles! My store is about 45 minutes away so I'm not making the trip to stand in line just for candles. :goodvibes

The home fragrance stuff is really the only stuff I use from BBWs. But I am curious about the semi-annual sales on the candles.

We have 2 Bath and Body works in our mall, plus another about a half mile away in an outdoor shopping center. The outdoor center location is never busy. I went about 10:00 AM yesterday, got 5 candles, and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. I used the $15/40 coupon and spent just over $31. It was very easy.

I think that our White Barn store does a few more days of $12.95 candles before Christmas. I'm pretty sure I went there a few times last season.
I used a coupon yesterday so I know that they will take them so a 20% off one would bring them down even more.

I was at South Hills Village yesterday afternoon (Pittsburgh), there was a line against the rail outside the store. As people came out, they let people in. Yikes!

My favorite day for BBW is 12/26 when most stuff is 75% off. My Aunts know they will get a second round of gifts for New Years.

I wasn't going to go this year because I have a ton of their candles already but a friend asked me to go. We went around 3:30 and they still had shelves full. A lot of the same scents all over but they kept bringing out boxes. They should get one more shipment of holiday stuff I believe.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but why is this sale such a big deal? When I read about the lines, I thought it was exaggerated. But my mom was at the mall and said the line was huge. Is it the fragrance? The price? What am I missing?

In my opinion, BBW candles are the best ones as far as burning evenly and putting out a scent that you can actually smell in the whole room, but they are pricey - the regular price is like $22.95/candle. So, when they are on sale for $8.95/candle and you can pair coupons with that, it is a great deal.

Is there a different sale every Saturday in December? Never really paid attention past the candle sale but currently sitting with a gift card since my phone wasn't loading in the store.
