Bath and Body Works candle sale this Saturday? Give me your advice.

I was thinking about this scenario. Since I don't have much money this year for this candle sale, I am only going to be getting like 5-6 of the Crushed Candy Cane or another Peppermint scent to last me through December and into January. And I am thinking about not getting to the store at opening and if my preferred scent is not available, just go ahead and get 5-6 of another scent. Then the following week go and exchange those candles for my preferred scent if it is back in stock. Should work shouldn't it?

I mean if this would work, I could see buying up a whole lot of candles to store and then exchange them for scents you would want later in the spring or summer?

Yes that should work. I'm not sure where you are located but there is a Bath and Body Works app that they are slowly rolling out. If you register on there it is giving a $10 off $30 coupon which could be used during the sale. It asks for your zip code and lets you know if the app is available for your area.

I have a separate White Barn store (attached to a BBW store), does anyone know if I can use the coupons in there?
I can pay for the WB candles at the BBW register, and I can pay for BBW stuff at the WB registers so I'm assuming I can. Just wondering if anyone here knows for sure.

yes you can

Anyone know if I’m able to use an online coupon while in-store for the candle sale?
I’m signed up for B&BW emails and mailers but haven’t received ANYTHING lately for a 20% off, free item with purchase etc. Frustrating.

I downloaded it and put in a zip code that works and all looks good. Got it to go on my phone and all. But I will say I wouldn't be able to order anything online with it because you need a valid address, but it still is neat to look at and explore.

I will say that members of their app get to start shopping tonight online at 10:00. May not be much left online in the morning.

Candle sale starts online at midnight tonight ET. Code CANDLEDAY. $8.95, limit 15.

I did not realize B&BW got that packed to have to go 1 hr before opening. I always stock up through out the year and have never seen people lined up outside.
I went to our mall last year, not to go to BBW but I had to walk by it and the line snaked out into the mall. There must have been 75 people in line.

Last year a B&BW that was at a shopping center was full at opening, so I left and the one at the mall wasn’t. It was packed only an hour after opening. I no longer use candles at home since I burn wax now and it last longer so won’t be participating this year, but they did send coupons I got them and gave them to my mom.

Also forgot to add that you can also use expired coupons up to 3 days old. If you have the mailer with the free item and the $15 off of $40, buy 5 candles and one item up to $13.50 use both coupons and pay $29.75 or $5.95 a candle. This is what I plan to do.

Just got home. This was my plan exactly. Got 5 candles and a candle holder. Total just over $31.

Went to a smaller BBW at a strip mall and the line was massive. Very little room to move in the store... between the line, customers shopping and staff restocking.... so plenty of selection. But things were very organized and efficient with their best cashiers on and all registers going. Arrived at 10 AM was out by 10:30. So online about 20 minutes

Well worth it to me!

I got 17 candles, thought I had 18. A little more than I planned. Got to use the 20% off email to go with it. Will plan for a bigger haul next year. Got there at 7, was crowded, but not too bad. I am not sure if the horrible weather this morning was a factor or if this was a normal crowd level. Had to make two trips to the car, these candles are so heavy. I will not go alone next time though.

I ordered a couple online that I wanted to make sure I got. I'm not planning to go to the store (so I can use my 15 off 40) until later and I wasn't sure what the selection will be like.

I was there last night for hand soap and they said they were opening at 6 am today. I didn't go for candles.

Ugh, I didn't realize the stores opened so early, I may have missed my chance! We are getting bad weather earlier than expected and roads are starting to get slick according to Twitter. Two of the scents i wanted are already sold out online. I missed the so as p sale due to weather too. Argh.

We just got home from our mall. Salesperson went "out back" and got us a Japanese cherry blossom candle. Got three candles, 5 hand sanitizers, and body wash for 24 dollars with mailed stacking coupons. Good luck everyone!

I would love to plan and save up enough money for next years sale for my candle use of about 6 a month for 6 months. Well four for the month of December and then six for the months of January-June. So that is like 40 candles. I know this would not be something I could do by myself, it was hard enough on me to get 17 out the door. Physically bad on my back for the most part with the weight of them.

And I also found my favorite Fall scent of Heirloom Apple, now renamed Iced Cranberry. Exact same scent, new name.

I wanted Twisted Peppermint and Vanilla Bean Noel. Got to BB&W at 10 a.m. and they were sold out of both. The employee suggested I get a different scents and then I can exchange them when the candles are back in stock.

Wow, I started not to get up and be there at 7 a.m., but I did because I did not know what to except. One thing that I will do next year is to go a few weeks before and smell all of the scents and know exactly what I want to get before I go in. I never expected them to rename my favorite Heirloom Apple to another scent. I was really surprised and tickled pink.
