We will be going with the basic dining plan for 2 adults & 2 kids but are wondering if we should get some stuff from the GG. Our kids always like to have snacks around and I know the basic plan covers 1 snack per day. We were thinking of getting some water, drinks and snack foods but don't want them to go to waste if we reallly do not need them. Thanks

Just our experience--both times we have done the dining plan, we brought all our snacks and drinks back home! We always seemed to be full and always used all our credits.

We did both on our trip basic DDP and GG.
We were staying in a villa with a full kitchen and way over bought from Garden Grocer. I over estimated how much we'd want to eat while in the room.

Next time I do plan on ordering some snacks (pretzels, celery sticks, fruit, cookies, cheese) and breakfast items.

The case of water worked out really well, it's better than wasting snack credits on bottles of water. And we liked having oj and milk for cereal.

It was nice having fruit for a light snack after all the heavy eating durring the day.

HTH,
Heather

Thanks yes it does help. We were planning on getting a case of water, milk, oj, cereal and some other snack foods (pretzels, chips etc) in case the kids want to munch on something. I just don't want to overdo it and be left with a bunch of stuff.

We too do both. We order from wegoshop.com and have been very pleased our last 5 trips.
I order water, juice, coffee, fruit, soda, beer, wine, and a few snacks. We ocassionaly have had some things left over, but not much.
Have a Great Trip

We ended up taking all the food we bought back home with us. The dining plan is so much food we did not eat the cereal/snacks we brought. I don't think we needed much water either with getting drinks at the TS and CS and the refillable mug. I think next time I will buy just a few water bottles and a few snacks as we travel by plane and would not want to be without some food for the flight if delayed.

We spent $100 on snacks, water, cereal, milk, pepsi, and brought almost all of it home.

It was such a waste!!

I even had to give away my Starbucks frappaccino drinks because they were glass.
