Bargain Betty and Workaholic Starring In:What Are You, A Disney Expert?

Cool update, Dawn! The dinner at Narcossee's looked soooo good, too bad you had so much trouble getting to it!! Very neat that they do the personalized menus...

Sounds like a great night!
Happy Anniversary (belated!)
I've never been to Narcossee's but we may have to try it if we can get a night away from the kids!

Thank you! I think Narcossee's is a wonderful restaurant. The food is so good and the service is always wonderful! You also get a great view of the bay! I booked all our adrs online so I never requested the menus so it was a nice suprise and they even gave us a special envelope to save them in

Thank you! When we've been to Narcossee's we've seen a lot of children there but IMO it doesn't look like they are having any fun so I think you're right that it's a good place if you get a night away from the kids or when they are old enough to appreciate it :) [/SIZE

I'm so excited that my daughters agreed to go see it with me! Now I don't have to go alone! :lmao:

I'm so glad you don't have to go alone :) We sometimes feel a little silly going to Disney movies without any kids but we're all still kids at heart! :goodvibes I was just about to ask how your trip was when I spotted your TR link. I'm heading right over and subscribing!

We really developed a new appreciation for DHS on this trip. I'm not sure if it was because the kids weren't there (not as much for them there), but it was one of our favorite days!

We ate at Narcoose's in 2007 and absolutely loved it. The best meal of our whole trip!!!

We woke up bright and early on our last day, determined to make the most of it! Our flight wasn't until 7:45pm so we had until our scheduled ME pick up time of 5pm. We had a bit of a dilemma though, which park should we go to? We had narrowed it down to re-visiting the MK and making our breakfast adr at Kona or Epcot and lunch at LeCellier. (when I did adrs I thought we'd be park hopping :rolleyes1) My DH being the sweetheart that he is, and knowing my love of the MK, insisted we go to the MK. They were having early morning EMH so we got moving quickly. Around 7 we headed to the main bldg and while I did airline checkin, Dale checked out and checked our carryon bags with the valets. While he was taking care of things he ran into the CM, Alicia, who had helped us when we checked into Pop and she asked how we enjoyed our parents only trip and how our daughter did in our absence. We were both really impressed that she remembered all that and we truly found the CMs at Pop to be the best at any WDW resort we've visited! By 7:15 we were all set and with bags checked and boarding passes printed we hopped on a bus bound for the MK. While we were on the bus I told Dale that I wasn't exactly sure what time our breakfast adr was so he called the dining number. Well he was suprised to learn we actually had 2 breakfasts scheduled! We had Kona and I had apparently forgotten to cancel breakfast with Pooh! We had an 8:45 adr at the Crystal Palace so we cancelled Kona and LeCellier. When we got to the MK we went straight to Fantasyland and rode the perennial favorite of kids of all ages Peter Pan! What a treat to walk right onto that ride! As we were walking through the queue we spotted a hidden Mickey which made us feel oh so proud of ourselves :rotfl: It was on a "tree" that lines the queue.

After our voyage to Neverland and back we walked onto my childhood favorite ride. Yep, I made him ride It's A Small World AGAIN! :lmao:

We spotted a hidden Mickey on IASW too! It was a leaf hanging in one scene

When we left IASW we decided we should start heading back toward the CP. We noticed the castle was open so we decided to cut through there. This was a treat since it's always blocked off for shows. We strolled through slowly admiring the mosaics. When we got out front we got some pics of Main Street. When we walked down the ramp though we passed a CM who seemed none too pleased that we had come that way. :confused3 Apparently, someone should have been back there telling folks not come that way. Oh well, we appreciated their mistake ;)

As we headed to the CP Dale got a pretty shot of the flowers

When we got to the Crystal Palace

we were quickly seated and found this waiting for us

Yep! More anniversary wishes! You gotta love celebrating in WDW! We were both pretty hungry by now so we wasted little time before hightailing it to the buffet!

Our plates....

We LOVED the puffed french toast! It was so good! We much preferred this breakfast to Chef Mickey's. Everything was wonderful and the atmosphere was fun but not too loud. I did discover that I am napkin twirling challenged. For the life of me I cannot twirl that thing right! But let's just keep that between us ok? :rotfl: While we were eating we were of course visited by the gang from the 100 Acre Wood.

We saw Tigger too (but neither of us like our Tigger pics :rotfl2:) but Pooh never did come around :confused3 We were there an hour and didn't want to wait around so we left without seeing that silly ol' bear. We did get a nice anniversary card signed by all the characters though so that was fun!

When we finished breakfast it was not even 10am so we still had almost 7 hours til the Magic Express! How did we spend those hours? Well you will just have to wait to find out :upsidedow

The Crystal Palace breakfast looks so good! We have had dinner there, and it was OK, but I really want to do the breakfast!

I tend to agree! I was contemplating on doing the buffet dinner for my teens, but I am thinking the breakfasts are better, do you guys agree? Just curious what you think?!

My son can EAT, he's 20, my 18 yr old daughter can too, my youngest daughter 16, can eat, but is avg. .. so I have been wracking my brain as to get in a big meal, either a breakfast/dinner buffet and then do small snacks the rest of the day.. I know every day won't be the same, but for the most part one big meal a day would be good.

We had lunch there in 2007 and really didn't care for it but the breakfast was wonderful!

I have to admit, the Pooh characters are my favorites, though I'm partial to the classic pooh look, not the mustard yellow one..lol. My child, for whatever reason, does not share the :lovestruc: but that's okay too. Very cool to have the time to spend your last day in a park! Good planning :) Can't wait for the next episode..

Our family prefers the breakfast buffets to the dinners. (Caitlin is already planning which breakfast buffets we should do in Sept) For some reason, IMO, they try and get too adventurous with the dinner buffets and it just doesn't work. Like I said, none of us liked the lunch at CP and none of us liked the dinner buffet at Park Fare when we were there in May. Ohana isn't a buffet but is all you can eat family style and we do enjoy that!

The Pooh characters are fun and there is something nostalgic about them. Thanks, planning WDW trips is one of my favorite things to do

Yummy Crystal palace breakfast - that looks sooooo good and I could eat me some of that right now!

I can't believe you have reached your last day! Those 4 night trips go way too fast, don't they? But they are so refreshing and when you put your mind into the "4 night frame of mind", you can really make the most of a trip!

I can't wait to see what you do with your last 7 hours!

That breakfast was wonderful! We enjoyed the food and the anniversary wishes and of course the characters! No matter how long we're at Disney it just never seems long enough but as you know with teens home you don't want to be gone too long so 4 nights was good. As for the last 7 hours, we were running all over the MK! :rotfl:

**I had to edit this because Caitlin said my original reply sounded a bit objectionable lol

I went to the mailbox today and what do you think I found? Nope, not a Christmas card. Something better! We had MICKEY MAIL!!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I was so excited to see Mickey mail about our September trip! The new envelopes with the monorail are so cute and I just love how everything is personalized now! We're even more anxious for Sept now! ;)

We LOOOVE Crystal Palace for breakfast.
In fact, we try to make that our traditional 1st stop on every trip (if we can).
It's a great way to get in the park early and get that Disney spirit going!

Congrats on your Mickey Mail - you're gonna get us all jealous!

Well, I think I'm all caught up now.

The last day?! Can't believe it's almost over already. At least you still have 7 hours.

We really liked the CP breakfast and we're planning to go again in Sept. The Mickey mail was so unexpected that it made a very nice suprise! :)

Yep we're almost done but Caitlin's already thinking about us starting a PTR for Sept :rotfl: We did do a lot in those last hours so there is more to come!
