Trying to do an expenses projection here, and I was wondering how you know what drinks cost at the cruise bars/Cove? Do they have a standard menu with drink prices? What about with your average drinks? For instance, most restaurants will have drink prices for their "special" drinks, but try and order a malibu and coke and you never know what it cost until you get the bill.

I've learned the hard way that you never ever assume drinks are a decent price (i.e. told "the girls" I'd get the next round, they ordered chocolate martinis and lo' and behold when I received the tab those things cost $12/ea :rolleyes1 ).

If they don't, anyone have recollections of what they paid for various drinks?

As far as alcohol is concerned, I think DCL is VERY reasonable! Our first cruise, DH and I took a lot of our own...mixed up margaritas, bahama mamas, etc and took them in Rubbermaid containers. We were scrambling to drink them the last night so we had room for all the booze we bought on the islands! :earboy2: Generally speaking, most alcoholic beverages ar $4.75. Then, they have their "drink of the day" which is only $3.50! You can't get a margarita at Chilis for that price! They also had specials, like at sailaway, and the last couple of hours at Castaway, and right before Rockin Bar D closed on the last night, where drinks were 2/1. Captains Night, they are FREE! ( in the atrium during the reception...but we managed to hit both receptions, and get the Captains moneys worth! :drinking1 :drinking1 )Soooooooo, eat, drink, and be merry!
I don't know how much the drinks are at Cove Cafe though...coffee drinks. ANyone out there know???

My question would be ... do they taste as good as the Margarita's at Chili's? I love the "Presedente Margarita's" (the ones in the blue shakers) at Chili's. If they are that good ... $3.50 or $4.75 is a great price! :drinking1

which captains night are you referring to? I would like to "toast" the captain twice too! :rotfl2:

I thought the drinks on board were very good. I look forward to trying some new drinks this time...
