OK, I just want to be sure becuase there has been alot of banking and borrowing and rebooking of trips lately for me, so I am a bit confused.

My UY is October. I have the following in 2009:
Use YearOctober 2009
Total Vacation Points Remaining 57
Total Vacation Points Available to Bank 57

And the following in 2010:
Total Vacation Points Remaining 62
Total Vacation Points Available to Bank 62
Total Vacation Points Available to Borrow 62

We are going to WDW in January. If I *might* take another trip prior to October 2010, should I just leave my Oct 2009 points (57) and use them? Does the UY 'Oct 2009' mean points to be spent between October 2009 and October 2010? I beleive I have until May of 2010 to bank my Oct 2009 UY points. Therefore, I should really decided about a 2nd trip which would take place before Oct 2010 before May correct - in order to either use my 2009 UY points or move thenm into 2010 in which case I would have 119 pts for use in 2010 (October 2010 to October 2011) correct?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out! :thumbsup2

You are right, you do need to decide before your banking deadline what you want to do. For a trip prior to Oct 1 2010 you can use 2009 UY points and would not bank them. But October 2009 UY points would not be usable for a trip in October 2010 or later unless you bank them into 2010 Use Year.

October 2009 UY points are valid 10/1/2009 - 9/30/2010.

So if you want to use these points for a trip in October 2010 then you definitely need to bank them before May 31 2010 banking deadline. If you're using them before don't bank.

If you use 2009 points during 2009 Use Year you may also borrow in 2010 UY points for a total of 119 points. If you bank 2009 UY points to 2010 UY then you will have a total of 119 points available to use during 2010 UY.

Hope this helped.
